How to skip and run through group of enemies
Yes, you have a lot of options. To list a few that I know of.
- Elixir S gives invulnerability and throw Elixir S can give you stealth (which is great) or stability (not that great, but still helps)
- Supply crate – stun and distraction, since a lot of mobs go for your turrets
- Bring a shield for its block and maybe its push-back
- Equip a toolkit for even more block
More situational:
- Elixir U is ok for its stun break and endurance recovery
- Elixir C for condition removal and also stun break
In addition…
- You can stack swiftness with stimulants and kit swapping before-hand in case you aren’t in a position to maintain the swiftness through regular kit swapping.
-Box of nails on toolkit cripples pursuers without engaging you in combat. Kit refinement can allot you two of these.
- Slick shoes trips up enemies and the toolbelt is a sprint. This is exceptionally useful on the Griffon Rock Run jump puzzle while carrying the bomb that explodes if you’re hit once.
-Norn snow leopard form has a very powerful stealth + rushing sprint ability.
-Elixir X juggernaut form has a rush you can use to speed forward and a stomp to disable enemies around you. You’re also beefier. It might help to stack swiftness before entering the form or else you’ll be slow in combat speed.
-Rocket boots will break any CC or cripple/frost and launch you. If you face away from the direction you want to go you can travel a small distance quickly. Keep in mind this is slower than using swiftness with out-of-combat run speed so it’s best used only when you’re in trouble. Elixir gun’s acid bomb is a similar leap but doesn’t break CC.
-Rifle net and leap can help you, but you might want to use a shield instead for the block.
-You can use net turret to root one enemy, but it will place you in combat speed.
-There’s glue shot and glue bomb, but there are better abilities to equip than these.
-Toss elixir U has a 1/3 chance to create veil which makes you invisible when you run through it.
-Ash Legion Spykits are exceptional for cheesing many things in PvE. You become invisible but you have to stand still. If you’re in trouble you can just pop one of these before you die, heal up, and then keep running. You buy them for a small karma fee in Ascalon, outside the black citadel from the heart vendor to the south. Bring a few in case you screw up.
Engineers are really one of the best classes in the game for kiting and escape besides maybe the thief.
I hear you can blow some of our many blast finishers inside of the smoke-bomb field to stack invisibility duration, but I never got this to work and I don’t recommend it.

I can only say wow, wow, wow!!!!
Thank you so much! So many really great ideas. I will make a list and will try to learn every each one of those and practice! Didnt know there are so many options. It looks like engineer community is great too :-) Get answers in few minutes to my biggest problem :-D
Folks have already mentioned most of the many options we have, but don’t forget the Smoke Bomb + Magnetic Shield/Inversion blast finisher for a few seconds of AoE stealth. It’s not very long, but you could use Magnetic Inversion and Detonate Turret to stack it a bit.

Oh sorry, let me correct myself. Elixir C doesn’t have a stun break, but it can cure all conditions (including immobilize, cripple, and chill) and gives you random boons.

Just wanted to point out that its elixir R that provides the stun break and endurance recovery. Elixir U provides quickness/haste and the projectile defense from the the throw. Elixir U’s throw can be used either before or after entering the mobs. If it gives you the veil you will be able to stealth. If you wait until your out of the crowd you can throw it down and pretty much all three effects can be used to escape.
Flamethrower has an AOE blind that can be used to maneuver through enemies. Often you can shoot static shot from the pistol at the group of enemies, switch to flamethrower as you enter the crowd and vent smoke to blind them yet again. If they are tailgating you can drop caltrops from the toolkit, glue bomb from bomb kit, or even throw grenades behind you as you run. One of my favorite part of the engineer is all the tools we have to escape. Don’t forget traits that can allow you to get through enemies such as cloaking device and, if you are really getting beat on, self regulating defenses.
The Ash legion spy kit is in every one of my characters packs, all the time. To me its essential for harder dungeons.
If you got time to prepare do this: dodge twice, use elixir r, dodge two more, elixir s, then use magnet shield when it runs out. By then you can probably dodge one more time or if not toss elixir S and hope for stealth. Depending on the situation stability can help too. By then you should have more than skipped any mobs in the way.
Its really useful I do it a lot of the time to skip
The best trick to remember is that Static Shield works even while using other skills.
When you activate the shield pay attention to the Transparant Aegis Shield effect that comes up, you can use other skills and things while Static Shield is up however it will cancel the block animation and skill duration bar but the Aegis will still be there.
So Static Shield then switch to Toolkit and prepare to use block.
Static Shield and use box o’ nails.
Static Shield then use toss Elixir S to ensure you dont get rooted right before possibly stealthing.
If you are about to die Static Shield and drop Toss Elixir R to res yourself.
A Shield, Toolkit, Elixir S, Elixir R and Medkit along with kit refinement for dropping box of nails back 2 back and you will be able to run through anything.
Also if there are alot of heavy mobs and you are lucky enough to be Asura the elite golems are pretty beefy, so sending them to their death can be a nice distraction.
