P.S. from aesthetics point of view, I.e. animations and mainly armour looks. Also if you have a cool Asura/Human engineer please feel free to post pictures below.

Well just dont pick Norn. Asuran sits on the post and hovers like an awesome engineer. Norn sits on the post and crotches himself, then cries about it while dangling by his scimpies.

But on a serious note, Asura has Elite skills that fit engineer well and their cultural gear looks good. However, if you want a legendary to be noticeable you’re better off with Human. The new Magitech gear looks great too!

Do not get me wrong but that picture just looks a tad inappropriate.

Asura imho. Besides Charr it has the closest feel to the profession (story). Has the closest look to the profession (aesthetics). Emotes are probably the best in the game. Small character model is slightly advantageous in PvP.

Asura look the best with the hobosacks. And they’re adorable when they self-cc. Humans just look kitten ed. Asura also have better racial skills.

Humans have much better looking weapons, if only because they’re so much bigger. If you want a female armored character, you’ll need human, cuz all asura wear male armor skins.

When you took that first picture where were you and were you doing the LW event. i smell something fishy. I personally thought I was so good the game decided there should be 2 of me. At first I was like who is this? Then I was like lets take shots.

LOL I never thought that this would happen to someone else. I was in Queensdale, doing the bandit event on farm near the troll. I used a Elixir X and BAM, my twin popped up. Best part is he was running whole time, wasn’t sitting there doing nothing, full on strafe at full speed in that spot. (One to left standing is my toon, right is twin)

I had an Asuran engi, I switched to female human. I prefer the human animations more for some reason. I got tired of the billions of asuran engis and how hard it was to see my own weapons.

First Rule if creating a character is to never EVER pick human.
If you must have a human size pick sylvar, or human look pick norn.

The Ranking goes
Charr at number 1 best race.
Sylvari and Asura are interchangeable for 2nd and 3rd place.
(Skritt have 4th place until they are playable then they have second and Sylvari and Asura get moved down the list)
Norn, comes in at 5th place

Human in 99th place, only ahead of Quaggan coming in last place.
I hate Quaggan so much.

I’d go human, since they’re the easiest to pick a good look for. Norn is as well, but the males have a weird body shape. Sylvari just look weird with anything not plant-themed. Charr, I’d avoid since they clip with everything and most armor look bad on them. Asura are okay if you’re alright with the smaller armor and weapon details.

Yeah I did pop elixir X. Now I know in certain places elixir X makes clones. Supply Drop pffh I become a Tornado!

Levvi’s Detector Cheap skin/weapon due to it being a champ drop but my favorite rifle skin so far.

the personal stories alone are extremly fitting for engineers.

not to mention asura animations are top notch and human animations are well rubbish.
