i started as a engi and i wont change, i love the class to much.

Why do you still play?

All I can say – you didn’t know anything about another classes, so you are bad choise for ally in the WvW or sPvP.

Engineer have been my first class since release, and I always liked it.

I took engineer because they were the least played class, and an unique class. I always aim for this when starting a new game.

Now I don’t regret my choice, because Engineer got one of the highest difficulty celling in the game. I love the gameplay style of switching in between kits.

The only downside is I fail to see the direction Anet is trying to go with engineer.

I play Engineer since beta and i love it, despite many nerf and anger from Anet :p

Sure I’m negative. They are nerfed us as hell, but there is a lot of PVEers and sPVPers (who using 1-2 same builds) who talking “hey, all is OK!”

I do well in tPvP with P/P condi, P/S condi, rifle condi, nade and power builds.
Got a little bit less condi removal in EG/FT builds, and yes that is bad. I did rage too, but only for a few minutes. I started playing different, and that worked out really well for me.

KR Engineer got hit hard by last nerf.

But we are far from being weak in PvP. Say that to warrior who have a really hard time right now in PvP.

We are below average, but really close to the top tier.

I hate arenas, really can’t realize why ppls playing it, but I’m not going to the sPvP threads with my very “useful” (to them sure) advices, based on WvW experience.

I am actually trying to help other people most of the time. I dont understand anything about what u just told me? I suggested u roll a other class because if i click ur name and then read ur message’s i see at least 30 messages trying to convince new people to NOT roll engineer because they are “bad” or flaming about the engi in general. If u want to continue playing engi, go ahead. But that only proves that u like the engi and ur flaming does not make sense to me.

People who don’t like the engineer as a class wouldn’t bother posting here. The fact that they are posting about it proves that they like the class and wish it was improved in some way. People who are passionate about something show it in different ways.

Sometimes people express themselves in ways which others may find inappropriate.

I have played GW2 for 1501 hours so far, 644 on my engie. I have one of every profession at level 80, and I have played around with a lot of different builds on all of them. I’m certain there are others who have put in a lot more time and effort than me, but I feel I am fairly unbiased when it comes to class comparisons.

While each class is unique and has it’s own positives and negatives, there are some classes which fit much better in certain niche roles in different parts of the game than others. This is unavoidable to a certain extent I suppose.

Still it’s nice to voice suggestions that I feel would prove beneficial to the engineer class in the long term.

My suggestions will never be implemented – ArenaNet has their own vision, their own roadmap and deployment plan and their own mental picture of what they want the engineer to be, and they don’t have time to read through most of the garbage posted in forums on the internet.

But it’s nice to talk about it, yes? And that’s what forums are for.
