Sometimes I switch to bombs for auto because my ’nade spamming finger is tired/hurting. Having more APM than any other class for dungeons sucks sometimes.

I love it! I love the high apm to throw all the stuff at my enemies and see them melting, while between hits I look back to my maties and throw stuff at them they need to survive! Wait … I guess I just fumigated the enemy and used barrage against my allies…

aahhhh what the heck! throws more stuff in every direction!

Do it like me and don’t give a kitten.
I just spam nades, minefield and analyze all day long to stack vuln, and don’t even care about your personal dps. Dungeons are just a daily gold-grind and running the meta for them is
a) counter-productive since you have to invest a lot of gold beforehand.
b) unrewarding since you can cap vulnerability easy with niche-builds as well.
c) unnecessary since Dungeons are too easy to care about “best in slot”.
d) useless, since the meta barely performs in fractals, therefore is a even bigger waste to be set up for it there.

Engineer is love, Engineer is life.

Try looking at your keymapping. Maybe there’s something you could do to ease the stress. Personally I have a logitech g600 i think it is, has 3 buttons on the mouse, in sort of a triangular setup, the bottom point is my auto attack, so I can fire that just squeesing my mouse a bit. THen I have dodge and one of my toolbelt skills as the other two buttons. Makes for easy access without much strain.

Swapping kits can still be a pain but again, I have them mapped up to easily accessable buttons (x, shiftx, and shift c) with my healing at z. Not saying you should go with what I do, just find something that works. For me, I adjusted my layout to more fit my layout i’ve been using for like 15 years in every MMO I’ve played, so I’m kinda used to it now.

And Arantheal, I do fractals almost every day, running full assassin, and 3 kit 66002 build whenever possible (adjust to 64022 for mai trin). I often end up taking other utilities but the 3 kits is whenever I’m not needed for things like blind/immob/reflects/etc. Meta is not counter-productive unless you’re failing at it.

I think that’s a large part of it. The only time I ever felt like I was “breaking my fingers” was when I tried a tri-kit celestial rifle build in sPvP. It was not fun. I know some people like running 3 kits, but I’m pretty sure the most effectiveness you can get is with just running two kits at a time (FT/EG, Grenades/Bombs, Toolkit is bad in dungeons). What do you use?

I run a grenades/TK/EG build in WvW, and when I get chased by a guild group for a long distance my hand starts to hurt, especially if I use the “look behind” and “about face” key binds. Maybe I should buy a 12-button mouse after all.

In a very masochist way though, I hope they add an elite kit in HoT.

Toolkit isn’t bad in dungeons, it’s just situational. for example ACp2, pull the ghosteater guy at the end into the trap. Additional blocks on Lupi. Pull Tazza in SEp1. … ok lots of pulling basically but prybar isn’t bad for something to use when you are using toolkit for it’s utility. I find it very very useful in fractals though, the cripple uptime can be huge on something like Mai Trin, I would say on the champs in harpy too but I use a different set of skills there.
