Well I use : http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fcAQFAUlspaZHvSdF17ICIF5lfJ6xjBZU2HFy1DC
Elite skill : charzooka or supply, and cleaning formula sometimes changed to hgh for might ( with 20% extra boon duration I can get 24 stacks). It is pretty good, I have soldier runes (27k hp, 3100 attack (without might), 1700 armor). I like it, it is not super perfect but aint bad as well. I think I could use some more armor (let say 2000 and 25k life)
I dont like kitting and glass crapon so this build is good for me.
Not sure if you’re asking this for PvP or WvW, but this is my bunker build in PvP: http://tinyurl.com/p4mstw8
It has very limited offensive abilities, but it can survive for a long time, provided that you don’t get stunlocked or immobilized (unable to dodge) for a long time.
Use Elixir C to target Vulnerability/Burning/Bleeding to turn them into Protection/Aegis/Vigor.
Use your Rifle and Tool Kit’s Magnet to get people off point, Rune of the Grove also help if someone decided to spam long range attack while heading to your point, 50% chance he will get rooted.
If all else failed, there are still Toss Elixir R/Supply Crate/Automatic Response that may help you in a pinch.
You can also tweak the build a bit by replacing Bomb Kit with Tool Kit.
With Dec. 10th’s new balance change, you won’t be able to get perm. Vigor, but it shouldn’t be that much of a problem as you still have plenty of methods to get Vigor up. The new change to Transmute and Armor Mod will also further improve this build.

I’ll assume you’re talking about tournaments.
There are several flavors of bunker engineer, none of them officially good enough for the meta. Tanky decapper/solo artist is usually cleric rifle, but it sounds like you want a teamfight bunker.
I’m hoping that will be possible after the patch. I’ve been testing variants of what I hope will end up being a 10/0/30/30/0 teamfight bunker.
Healing turret, elixir gun, elixir S, and bomb kit.
Traits are:
forceful explosives,
protection or 20% DR while stunned, power shoes, elixir infused bombs,
protection injection, backpack regenerator, automated response (although AR is cheesy and I would feel a little bad about using it…it will likely be nerfed/redesigned in the future, though). A good substitute might be lyssa runes, elixir CD reduction, and elixir X.
You can go cleric or settler’s with rifle or p/s, settlers will probably be better in most situations though. You’ll put out massive healing, good area control through bombs, decent cc, and decent downed state control through stealth and elixir S.
The main problem with most support/bunker engineer builds is that they don’t actually have any support, just a ton of blocks/personal sustain and sometimes some decap ability. It sounds like that’s not what you’re after. This build will lack group stability, which is probably the biggest thing that a guardian offers. However, no other profession can compete with SYG realistically. In return, you’ll get more group condition cleansing, healing, and damage than a bunker guard, while sacrificing SYG and with it some downed state control.
I’m actually pretty excited about the build, I think it might be able to stand in for a support guardian in some team compositions, which has never ever happened before.

I can reccomend you mine imba bunker what I use in TPvP last two months (and it will be even better after 10th december patch because of bomb heal buff).
- You pretty much outheal everything due to turret, super elixir, backpack regenerator and massive toughness. You can hold point 1v3 almost endlessly.
- Also you have tons of dodge, swiftness, blocks, pull, knockbacks, blinds, condi cleanses ect
- Due to runes and traits you are immune to condi damage under 25% HP, also other condis and stun damage is greatly reduced (you can for example overregen warriors 100d while are you stunned:-))
- You have relatively high condi damage you can also kill enemies. I take time but still you eventualy kill every class you met. 1v1 there is no chance to be beaten and you can beat every current meta builds.
- Elixir Gun #1 is great against burst classes because it apply perma weakness
Tekkit’s Workshop
Stop caring about the meta then. I don’t. From what I have seen in the engineer forums, a vast amount of regular engineers ignore the so called meta. Play what you want, how you want. Make a build you like and play it.
As far as your point about conditions, I don’t really understand that. It is simply 1 of 2 ways to do damage in this game. Maybe I am just misinterpreting what you meant there though.

I’m not a fan of totally relying on conditions in PvE. They can get pushed back or fall of the stack and become useless. I’ve been playing with a build that is support/dps and it’s proving to be fun and quite helpful to the group. Its not tanky but you may wanna try it in PvE.
30/30/0/10/0 Pistol/Shield // Healing Turret/Rifle Turret/Bomb Kit and Grenade Kit. Rampagers gear with 2x Runes of Strength, Fire and Hoelbrak for Might duration.
This gives you a fire field, water field and smoke field for blasting in. Every 30 seconds you can blast 4 times in any of these fields for group healing, might or stealth. I can maintain 12 Might and ~18 Vulnerability on the target which is very nice. If your group cooperates its a great support build, especially if others blast in your fields. It also does good damage and from what I’ve seen lately a condition player in PvE is sorta rare so condition damage can be more viable.
GL out there,
Blood~
Thanks everyone for the awesome responses! I am currently looking for a competitive PvP build, sorry I didn’t state that clearly.
