I need opinions for my build.
What are you using it for? WvW, sPvP, PvE? You have no stability so this is a no go for sPvP. Also your quickness really only helps your FT auto, or hammer auto. If you hit retaliation your toast on FT if you intend on using the auto a lot.
So this must be PVE. Wouldn’t you rather say have swiftness and vuln proc on firearms then 10% short range crit… what’s your default crit rating? If you cause bleed you get 10% more, if you keep up fury that’s 20%, plus food. I’d take the vulnerability and swift.

Ok so if you wanted to max damage out, you could keep up might manually and use something like flame legion. It gives a 7% damage bonus when target is burning (over 5% for rune of strength). It causes burning (bonus damage) and it extends the duration of burning. This means your flame thrower burns will go for more time and do more damage over time. Alternatively pack doesn’t have the flat damage bonus but the 125 precision can convert to condi damage with firearms trait 1.
I’m not sure you will be able to apply enough condi variety to get much out of firearms grandmaster 2 trait. I’d go for incindiary powder (burning on crit + extended burning duration) instead. Do the numbers; I bet you’ll get more damage out of the extra burn than you will out of a couple percent bonus per condition.

Yup and this furthers my suggestion of using flame legion in the build.
Plus I’m not sure shredder is all that viable… maybe in a pvp situation where they stand exactly where you want and you can put it in their hit box???? but I suspect that takin gsomething like rocket boots for the like 5 stacks of burn on the tool belt might suit you better , or blast gyro for much damageness.
Personally I like rifle in PVE. You scrap the scrapper trait, you rock something like tools, this gives you 10% when endurance full and vigor all over to keep it that way. You get refresh on your tool belts 15% faster, so take elixr B for longer fury and might over U, cause it’s toolbelt is stability. Plus you get a bonus free AOE hit out of takedown round.

I use this build for pve. I chose the traits specifically, juggernaut gives me about 6 stks of might, with stability. That with the Scrapper trait: Mass Momentum gives me around 12/13 stks of might. Those with the Alchemy traits: HGH and Alchemical Tinctures, also with Runes of strength give 17/18 stacks of might. Using Elixir U wither gives me the fury, or the 5 stks of might, also with 2 extra stks from HGH, caps my 25 might.
The hammer I don’t really use or need, except maybe for the stun from hammer 5.
Firearms traits for minor and major are just what I had on, I can see why Heavy Armor Exploit might be better, and also No Scope.
I don’t really need condi damage, so using runes of the flame legion would not be bad, but aren’t what I need. I just had the Pinpoint distribution for that tad extra damage.
Shredder Gyro is just what ive been using on top of Napalm(FT skill 4), even without Pinpoint Distribution it does decent damage.
Yes, the quickness is only really good for the FT skill 1, or hammer 1, but it doubles the damage I do, just by making the skill go faster.
Tool belt skill Throw Elixir U is highly valuable by either reflects or blinds.
Shredder gyro can be replaced, plz post any suggestions.

take the hammer trait and the flamethrower trait. take the fury on crit over condi damage, you have no condi output anyways. aaaand oh yeah go inventions 232 instead of alchemy.

Ah well if you’re using juggernaut you should probably update your OP, because you currently say you use firearms grandmaster “middle” but juggernaut would be “top” (middle is the garbage 2% damage bonus per condition on enemy). And that would kind of change the entire discussion dynamic… juggernaut is very much a playstyle-defining trait. I’m this case I’d also encourage you to consider the alchemy adept tier “top” trait that gives vigor when you gain swiftness. It synergies really well with the firearms adept “middle” which gives swiftness when you crit

cuz you have a hammer, its 10% damage.
the protection trait is legit too if all you wanna do is camp flamethrower and only ever use hammer for 5 and use 3 out of combat, but the more hammer skills you use the better the trait is.

The stability on evade part of the trait works no matter what you are using.

Sigil of Accuracy brings me up to 53.8% crit chance… so probably need it, plus 20% from fury and 10% from bleeding, ill be up to 83% crit chance.

Interesting. I guess the toolbelt recharge, especially for flamethrower is probably pretty nice. Just make sure you never get hit by any condi since you have literally zero cleanse

I’d suggest you take Inventions instead of Tools.
You get a lot more sustain and damage from Bunker Down than from Takedown Round and it doesn’t have that silly 50% hp limit.
Mecha legs replaces Heavy Armor Exploit for speed so you can switch that to High Caliber. You will be in 240 range most of the time anyway. And you can now replace Sigil of Precison with Sigil of Strength, while still gaining 3% crit chance.
AMRT will reset your heal if things go south, however it does not work well with Healing Gyro so switch that out for the turret. It’s more healing overall anyway + condition removal.
Perfectly Weighted replaces Recovery Matrix for extra damage and stability. Try comboing Hammer 5 -> 3 -> 2-> 4 on a group of mobs. It does insane damage, while disabling them & giving you evade/reflect/block. Great burst once you stack up might with Flamethrower.
Also I’m not a big fan of Elixir U. Imo Elixir Gun is a lot better: stunbreak on a shorter cooldown, condi cleanse for you/team and massive damage + explo finisher (Acid Bomb).
