INVULN STACK ENGINEER
Im sure you meant vulnerability, but stacking invulns actually sounds more appealing :p

lol yea you are right I did mean vulnerability
Yeah I have. A while ago i submitted a build “Big game hunter” or something like that. Using net shot and the trait, you stack 25 stacks of vulnerability within seconds. You can then use jump shot to apply even more. It doesn’t do a lot of damage and works best when running with a group or roaming in WvW with someone in WvW.
grenades = vulnerability.
I´ve also thought about something like that before but the long CD on the toolbelt-net digusted me. Looks better now with the lower CD but still the question is – how the hell shall I apply damage?
Seems only useable for static discharge-builds on first glance.
There are also some synergies with special runes, Net-Turret from Supply-drop and other traits.
Bad things are net-turret AI and beeing only single-target.
yea Steel-Packed Powder is by far the best way to stack vuln as it has no cooldown and with grenadier you can easily get 20+ stacks just by spamming auto grenade. Add in a rare veggie pizza and its perma +25% damage on all dungeon bosses.
But if grenades aren’t your thing Analyze with traits Sitting Duck and Precise Sights can make your bursts hit a lot harder. This is used primarily with a Static Discharge build
The new Kit Refinement that everyone is shunning is actually working nicely on this.
With Elixir Gun’s new KR, Glue Trail, I can kite around enemies dropping multiple puddles on them. Applying anywhere from 10-25 stacks of vulnerability. Rifle and Pistol both come with an additional immobilizer, and the bomb kit has the Sticky Bomb. You can kite around and keep them in place as you drop bombs (backed with Steel-Packed Powder for even more vulnerability). Your third skill can be anything you see fit. I’m thinking of utilizing Throw Mine for more dispersed damage.
Purity of Purpose
I will try this out tonight, but with the debugging of Giver’s weapons condition duration can be greatly improved how conditions stack. I’m going to try this when I get home, but with my 100% condition build (will be 110% b/c I use it with other builds) I should be able to stack 25 vulnerability without rifle.
Davidah (Guardian) Goloith (Engineer)
Achuni (Mesmer) Doreanora (Thief)
Yeah, the rifle isn’t necessary. In fact, it’s a lot easier to trigger with pistol since you get the AOE + the cripple in case it doesn’t hit immediately. However, it synergizes a lot better with the rifle damage wise since Vulnerability does not improve your Condition Damage ticks.

I was using this method with excellent effect setting up my 100nade, I’m trying to build it into different build now

I was considering giving this a try, but my PvE build currently won’t be able to support it.
I don’t feel it will be very effective in PvP because players generally won’t purposely immobilize themselves in the glue unless they’re on a senseless tunnel-vision rampage. If you dispensed it during a zerg fight in WvW it might work out a bit better, but otherwise I think it would only be very effective in PvE where the mobs are more than happy running straight into your attacks.
Once I discovered how useful sitting duck was, I actually traited out of rifled barrel turrets in order to get it on my turret control build. It was more than possible to get those 15 stacks of vulnerability on an enemy, increasing my damage as well as the turret damage. I will miss the insane range on the rocket turret, though.
But for a more conventional vunlerability stacking, grenades are definitely the way to go. Works in an AoE while doing quite a bit of damage and conditions.
has any one tried to stack invulnerables? with sitting duck trait.
use rifles, net turret and goggles. everything else is up to you
You forgot, EG with KR. 25 stacks in 5 seconds.
