Here is an idea i came up with when i thought about what a meele engineer weapon would be like. In my oppinion the engineer is a focused conditionbased class who often fight in between his turrets. I also saw the hammer as a good weapon for a engineer. The hammer to me is ment to be quite a disruptive but slow weapon that the user holds his ground with and uses to fend off foe’s that come a bit too close for comfort.

I would like to hear your comments on my idea everything from how it can be improved (note: improved not "its not op enough and needs to be stronger) and just your general thoughts or ideas on the subject.

There are probably gramathical errors so be aware.

Under each skill i have written a coment of why i thought it was good.

Skill 1, (“auto attack”): Attack 1: The engineer swings his hammer in front of him, the hammer explodes on impact with a chance of burning.

Attack 2: The engineer swings his hammer in front of him, the hammer explodes on impact with a chance of burning.

(Note attack 1 and 2: This is a skill every weapon has that is ment to be used when the others are on cd and you dont want to swap etc. i think an explosive element is good in mind that it is an engineers weapon and he probably modified it himself so that it would explode.)

Attack 3: The engineer smashes the hammer into his opponent it explodes knocking his opponent a little backwords.

(Note attack 3: as most weapons with three strikes the third do something different and usually has a different effect, here i think it should knock the opponent back enough that he can’t auto but in no terms is it a skill to disengage a meele opponent with.)

Skill 2, (“Poision attack”): The engineer attaches a few chemical bombs to the head of his hammer, he drops the head of the hammer into the ground creating a poision field around him.

(Note skill 2: This is a condi skill ment to be opened with as a opponent runs at you so that you get extra dmg in whilst you exchange the first blows, it is also a good skill to use if you are fighting 2 opponents and 1 is down while the other is healing him)

Skill 3 (“Knock back strike”): The engineer throws a little bomb up in the air then trust’s it into his opponents chest with the hammer, knocking his opponent over. Has a chance to burn the enemy.

(Note skill 3: This skill is ment as a disenge spell if you want to cast a quick heal or a utility based ability, it is also good to use just as a tool of disruption)

Skill 4 (“gap closing skill / stun skill”): I have 2 idea’s for this skill, both are similar but the second one does not have a gap closer because it might be wierd with such a ability on an egineer who seems to be more a stationary fighter fighting amongst his turrets:

Function 1: The engineer swings the hammer around then leaps in a arc in front of him, if an enemy is struck by the hammer the hammer explodes violently and stops the leap. the foe is stunned and all enemies around him is knocked back.

Function 2: The engineer swings the mace violently around him, if he strikes an enemy the hammer explodes violently stunning the foe whilst knocking back all enemies around him.

(Note function 1 and 2: As i said above i broke this skill into two versions because i want sure if the engineer really needed a leap ability since those abilities are seen as abilities that bring you away from your current location, where your turrets are, and to the location of your opponent instead. I think of the hammer as a meele alternative to your ranked weapons and a weapon that can bring utility to the field. If it has a leap it seems like it is more a tool for chasing or engaging opponents witch i don’t think fits the engineer to much, but i could see the use of it vs ranged opponents.)

Skill 5 (“Disengage”): The engineer sticks the hammer into the ground and leaps backwords, the hammer then explodes chilling all enemies around it. the the engineer pulls in a thread he connected to the hammer so it returns to him.

(Note skill 5: This spell is ment to be a way for an engineer to leave the meele fight scene and ensure that he can get some reanged attacks off before the foe catches up to him, the disengage is ment to be a way for him to retreat or combo it up with some of his other abilities.)

Well that is it for this idea, if you think its stupid tell me why, if you think its good tell me why, but i hoped you enjoyed it nevertheless.
