Inconsistent behaviour of the medikit
Seems like it.
Probably a bug but quite convenient for “Speedy Kits”, if you ask me.
I can confirm that the medikit (in PvE) doesn’t revert back to the weapon I’m currently holding, unlike the bomkit that does.
I much prefer the medikit to behave like the bombkit in this regard as it’ll be one less button to push while fighting. To make it clear, I’d prefer that the key that brings up a kit also stoves it away.
I actually prefer the way the medikit works. It makes it consistent – the kit’s button brings up the kit, the tilde brings up my weapon. There’s no chance of ending up in the wrong state by pressing the button twice or something.
It certainly seems to be a bug, though, as mousing over the medikit shows the second ability use is meant to stow it away, and it doesn’t.
I fail to see why the engineer needs a perk in order to be able to throw medipacks. I mean, should that be available to the engineer from the beginning?
The controls just don’t feel natural. You should be able to cast them on yourself and throw them around from the start instead of just placing them on the ground. You even don’t automatically pick them up when you stand still when you place them. You have to move out if their circle and back in order to pick them up. That’s just awkward.
yeah this is annoying, as I am used to the “pve” way and sometimes I waste my 5 ability because I thought I have medkit up. Tried to report it so hopefully they will do something about it.
Its an old bug that is still yet to be fixed. Nothing to see here sadly.
