I’ll keep it short:
Make invigorating speed also proc with super speed. It’s kitten hard to get swiftness with the scrapper without streamlined kits and heavy armor exploit, only once in a while with a lightning field and a finisher.
I also suggest to make super speed a boon for counterplay’s sake.

Hmm. Superspeed balance seems to be around its limited application and single stack so I am not sure it it makes sense to then allow it to be strip-able.
If anything it needs a buff.
As for invigorating speed, I think that is just the tradeoff for a scrapper not investing in firearms or tools.
Still, it would be nice to have a sustained swiftness or vigor option in the scrapper traitline…somewhere…

Then lets set a super speed limit at lets say 2-3 stacks. It won’t be op as long as you can’t stack it for like 10 sec.
Anyway, I don’t think the scrapper traitline should be a tradeoff. It should synergize with current traits to become a part of a whole build. Traits / traitlines shouldn’t block each other.
Good idea there, but if you’d do that, you’d have to make “Alacrity” become a boon, too.
But then again, boon duration might stir everything up a bit.
It’s just bothersome to see these new “buffs” not being counterplayable like regular, oldschool boons. Makes it feel stiff to play with them, sadly.
I tried this and could never get anything useful out of it. Maybe they should have it so that instead of converting Swiftness to Super Speed, it just gives you Super Speed on top of Swiftness. That way, you’d have Swiftness for however many seconds, and then if you had a ton of stacked Swiftness you’d still have that left over.
I think making superspeed a counterable boon will actually benefit engineers: right now, superspeed is so redundant, situational and limited, that becomes useless. If it were strip-able & transformable into condis, it will actually help us protect the other, useful and valuable boons.
“Yeah, you take all my superspeed with your spell. Thanks, now eat this might!”
Thinking more seriously about it… maybe THAT IS what scrapper’s superspeed is for???
