Power Build Condi Build
So, been playing around with hoelbrak runes etc in WvW and come to the conclusion that I don’t much like might stacking on engi unless you’re playing bombs. With that in mind, would you guys run battle sigil, or would you use an alternative sigil?
This is the build I’m using atm;
I know it’s a little odd (no nades or bombs), I’ve traited rather defensively, to try to cover the engi’s weakness to CC (read: to have a chance of escaping a gank), but I’m open to suggestions. Thinking of using doom, geomancy or intelligence here instead of battle.
This is what I was thinking if using bombs;
Battle seems to make sense here what with the fire bomb, but is it worth it without running strength runes?

didn’t looked into the builds, just some general advice;
if you have enough crit-chance, go for strength instead of battle. battle was awesome until it got nerfed recently, now it simply does not perform anymore.
might-stacking itself was nerfed for 1/7th of its overall power, but still performs. You’ll just not get the same awesome outcome that you might have seen on youtube before the nerf kicked in.
unless you are pushing very high up on might stacking and duration
battle is not worth it anymore.
consider this tho:
-the most might you’ll get from battle is 8 stacks after a minimum period of 27 seconds, thats 240 power and cd, considering 90-100% extra might duration.
-bloodlust will give you 250 power, if you have full stacks
-fire and air will hit generally hit in the range of 1000-1300 , 1500-1700 respectively iirc.
-sigil of force is permanent 5% damage increase. that is very roughly equivalent to some 100-150 power, depending on other factors.
-energy sigil allows for more dodges; the dodge bomb does some very good damage (upwards to 5k to a single target) so even tho it’s a defensive sigil you might not lose any damage, especially in larger fights where you are guaranteed to hit stuff with bombs anyway and extra dodges are always good.
sigil of strength is still not worth it in wvw imo; it’s might is of too short duration, requires a pretty high crit chance to maintain and won’t give you anything while you are on the defensive and not attacking.
other interesting sigils you should have in mind would be leeching, cleansing, renewal, doom, inteligence, etc
Battle wasn’t that good to begin with. It catered to builds that also incorporated a decent Boon duration/Might duration to really squeeze everything out of it. For those builds it was a good sigil, if you actively kept swapping. But even than I’m not sure if it was ever the best due to the time it takes to stack.
For other builds it was not bad, but also not great. And then it got nerfed.
