The communication we want is fairly simple, either:
a) Most of our engineer players are wrong. Engineer is just how we (A-net) want it. Give up, reroll, leave game.

or

b) We realise our vision is disconnected from our engineer playerbase. We’re finally going to fix some bugs. We’re going to completely reconsider our class justification statement with regards to engineer. You don’t need to reroll or leave game, we’re listening now.

In addition all classes would be pleased to hear that for the new year, being able to enjoy your class is now an equal priority as new pve grinds, so A net will add 8 new staff one for each class bringing the balance team from two people upto ten the bare minimum such an integral area deserves.

Engineer lobbyist is what came to mind after reading your last sentence.

That last sentence would be an ideal situation but from a management standpoint, I just don’t see them doing that. It’s nice to hope tho.

Need to do something about Izzy, he’s proven in the past just how he balances things (25/90 is just one example out of many).

I just wish “balancing the Engineer” for once meant buffing instead of nerfing. The Engineer Grenade Kit was doing too much damage? Nerf it! No point in trying to bring the other kits up to its level so that the Engineer does sensible damage compared to other classes. Nope.

Anet don’t talk to us about it because it wont do any good. All over-communicating ever does is make players angrier. Talking to angry players won’t make the developers fix anything faster or change their minds, nor does it make angry players suddenly better understand the situation, realize the error of their thinking and inspire them to just “get good.”

If I was Anet I wouldn’t talk to you guys either, even if I was working on fixing everything being complained about.

The maximum communication should be “we are looking at engineer improvements for a later patch.” That’s it. And even then this could easily give players an impression of the way the changes will work and what kind of timeframe they will arrive and usually make them angrier than they would have been when they fall short.
