Juggernaut & Reinforced Shield Traits
you’re not getting the toughness from reinforced shield cos, like all weapon kits, the flamethrower replaces your equipped weapon which would explain your second point too if your shield has toughness as an attribute ^-^
kits repalce your weapons, it is a huge problem(bug) with the class
I should clarify: The shield granted power/precision, so it did not play into results. In fact, when I tested the toughness boost from the Juggernaut trait alone, I removed my weapons and shield entirely.
then there’s other whimsical, magical, asura-related, skritt-tinkered factor we do no know about.. i recommend you get your shield debugged and the flamethrower tuned up just in case

activating a kit makes the game think you unequiped you weapons and switch to a ‘weapon’ related to the kit.
Were you being down-leveled when you checked the scaling on Juggernaut toughness? I can’t check this since I’m at 80, but it seems that it should give you the full 200 toughness unless your entire toughness stat is being reduced. I believe you, it just seems strange that in a fairly recently-changed trait there would still be another tooltip error. I understand that they’re focusing on bug fixes first and tooltip updates later, but like you say, you’d think both traits and tooltips would act the same way.

I was in Lion’s Arch, so I wasn’t being down-leveled. How recent was the change to Juggernaut? I know it used to be different, but I don’t know how long ago that was.
They changed it not long after launch, so about two months ago. I just mean it’s odd that they would go in and change the trait, change the tooltip, and still leave it incorrect…well, it’s not a huge deal one way or the other, I suppose.
did this get fixed? changed or anything? do they still not stack or do they stack now?
It’s not a bug with [lack of] thoughness stacking. Traits are working with weapon (kit) you’re currently wielding, not the one you’re having equipped in hero panel. Shield trait is working whenever shield skills are on your skillbar. Flamethrower counts for a different weapon because it’s replacing weapon skills, just like all enviromental weapons
Both traits are scaled according to current zone level, at lv 80 they’re both giving amount of toughness stated in trait tooltip
well i tested a sigil on my pistol last night, and it gave me the on kill effect when i was killing with my flamethrower, so i dont think it replaces your weapon. if it did i wouldnt get the sigil’s effect.
It does replace weapons (visuals and skillbar), but gains weapon stats and sigils, it’s some kind of compensation for not so good kit scaling
