Juggernaut on more kits
Tool Kit might be a little OP, but I agree, I see no reason why it should’t work with EG, after all, FT and EG share the same trait line.

the problem with Tool Kit is that the dev’s made it clear they found many bunker builds too strong.
Not that engineers are the strongest bunkers, but I’m sure that would be the first thing that crosses their mind: Tank Cat + Juggernaut = nogo.

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. And the forums would be overrun with shouts of OP!OP!
We definitely would gain a lot of versatility from more traits that affected multiple utility skills. Why is kit refinement good? Not because it’s OP, because it’s one of our only traits that gives a benefit to more than one utility skill.
Grenadier and juggernaut are both good traits, but don’t leave room for much of that versatility that we were hoping for. My favorite build is a crazy 4-kit that doesn’t have 30 points in any single traitline, just because in my opinion being a “flamethrower engi” or a “grenade engi” is the opposite of what the profession was supposed to be.
Even our traits that affect all elixirs, or all gadgets, are lame because most of those are cooldown reductions, etc. Traits like static discharge and kit refinement are fun because they actually add versatility to our skillset.
people love to shout down others suggestions with the cry of OP, but it seems to me that rarely do these people have any idea what they are actually talking about.
overpowered would be if we could get and maintain 20 stacks of might, over powered would be if we could easily spec for 100% crit chance, if we could survive 10 glass cannons wailing on you for 20 seconds, if it took 20 something people to stop you from contesting an area, if we had a stun break on a 10 second cooldown, if we could spec for perma invisibility.
asking for a defensive trait for an offensives weapon kit isn’t anywhere close to those other suggestions, asking for a defensive trait for a support weapon also isn’t anywhere close to those other suggestions.
Add EG to Juggernaut. I approve of this message.

traits need to apply to more weapons and kits in general. These highly specialized traits, sometimes affecting just one single weapon/kit, are completely counter-intuitive to versatility.
What good is having the choice to get different kits (we get punished for having this choice) when baseline they are rubish and require certain powerful traits to make them useful.
Elixir Gun’s ultimate trait is Kit Refinement. Dual Super Elixirs is just plain awesome. Trait for healing power and you heal about 10k hp in 10 seconds, AoE.
Hard to pass that up if you want support.

Kit refinement is a trait for all kits, about the only decent one we have that works on all.
By no means was it designed to be stronger for Elixir Gun than for other kits.
And 10 k in 10 seconds? before the ‘fix’ perhaps. Now it does nowhere near that.
With zero healing power I think it heals about 175 per tick or something, and healing power scales baaaad.
So even when doubled up with Kit Refinement I doubt you reach 1k per second.
And if you do, you have sacrificed ALL versatility for healing, you can’t have any damage left.
But this aside, my main point is: a wonderfull trait like Kit Refinement is not enough to say it’s the EG’s ‘ultimate’ trait, sorry.
There has to be something more, like Grenadier, Elixir-Infused Bombs and indeed Juggernaut.

I’m sorry that was a rough estimate. It’s actually more like this:
3k + 500 from each blast x2 = 7k healing
Regeneration from tool kit skill is 4k healing (11k total)
Dropping Bandages are 2k each assuming you are at max hp (17k total).
If you take healing turret, that’s an extra something…not sure actually I never take it unless it’s supply crate. But either way, it’s a kitten ton of healing, especially if you take two healing turrets. Mix this with elixir throws for a bit more support.
In fact, it’s so much healing that often times I’ll just sit on a cap point in PvP and do literally nothing but cast these skills. I don’t even have to move if the player is bad enough.

you are an obvious troll Elixir gun heals nowhere near the stated values and i can confirm this as i always carry the elixir gun with me the Only use of the super exlixir is condition removal . it only heals about 175 hp per tick 200-250 with pure cleric or hybrid gear. bandages wont heal 2k hp unless you sacrifice damage and go for healing power gear and build Healing turret regens Do not stack they override other regens except for elixir cuz that regen doesnt count as a boon.
This is an excellent idea. It would help engineers back into the meta as a bunker for tpvp with the extra toughness. I really do hope ANet considers this, because it’s an excellent idea. +1
