Q:

I’ve look through a fair amount of forums and haven’t seen a definitive source, so I thought I would ask once and for all, and hope I can get a Dev response:

Are kits or are they not intended to get bonuses from sigils/weapon stats; that is, is it a bug that they don’t, or is that how it is supposed to be and things are just scaled around that fact?

It just seems like a pretty huge thing to have not been patched yet if it’s not intentional.

Devs have responded to this before. I believe they are working on a way to make it work, or as an alternative, a equivalent work around.

Poor craftsman blame their tools. Poor players blame their Engineer.

Hope they finish the workaround soon.
And while they’re at it, they might as well throw in cosmetic skins for kits too.

Devs have said we should get sigil benefits, and have been saying it since around BWE1 which is the best part of half a year ago now. Either its a low priority fix or they simply don’t know how to do it while keeping kits as bundles and are unwilling to change them into being something else internally.

I’m not sure how they would implement this without having Kits as an interactable option in the Engineer’s skill window which is probably no small task. Alternatively, they could make it so on each Kit, it had a drop down menu of choice for a Sigil.

How that translates to PvE however…

In theory you could ‘just’ have the kit replace the weapon’s damage, skills and appearence. That way you’d still have the sigil/bonus stats.
However, I suspect that would kill the 5% damage bonus from the rune of the engineer. Which could be changed, yes, but still. Fix one thing, and break another…
