I struggled mightily to choose one of these two traits for my rifle engineer, but if the patch leak hold true it looks like I’ll get both. /happy

Is the melding of these two traits enough to sway any of you to pick it up? Or do you guys still think it’s outclasses by the other traits in the Firearms line?

It’s a little bit of a nerf, if the notes are correct, because there will be an internal cooldown. No more racking up 25 stacks of vulnerability.

It’d be a shame if the notes are correct. Swapping to Elixir Gun with Refined Kits, and circling an enemy for an almost immediate 25 stacks of vulnerability was always fun. ):

Yeah, if anything it’s just a tradeoff. No vuln stacking, but now you can get the cripple.

I think it’s a good change if you were using knee shot, but not a good change if you were focused on sitting duck.

It should work out nicely for a cookie-cutter static discharge build, although if they’re still alive to be affected by the cripple from knee shot then they goal of the build has not been accomplished XD

It seems to be a good option for the Vulnerability stacking SD build, other than that I don’t know of any build in particular I would use it for.

If those leaked notes are true, I’ll probably drop hair trigger and pick up sitting duck, along with the new GM trait modified ammunition, for the damage increase per condition.

If sitting duck gets in internal cd as a result of this then I would like to see glue bomb immobilize the way it used to before they hotfix nerfed it.

Modified Ammunition looks pretty weak to me. You’ll be unlikely to ever have more than 3-4 conditions on a person, making it weaker than Rifle Mod.

Pretty sure engineer can stack every condition (except the new one of couse) so modified ammunition could result in a pretty big damage boost

For like 2-3 seconds each, with 15-20 second cooldowns. The animations alone would cause earlier conditions to drop off before you get them all on or actually take advantage of the trait.
And you can’t access them all; more like 6 tops.

Pistols would be much more apt to condition application as well, so you’ll be getting a direct damage bonus on something designed for conditions.

It think it might have some applications with carrion gear… that one boosts power as well as condition damage, so the mileage you get out of this trait could be more significant.

But yeah, it seems a bit hard to justify it over rifle mod if you’re a rifle user. I guess you could always take both of them, but some of the other traits would probably be more useful (i.e. rifle CD reduction).
