LF advice on after patch build
I think there is so much we don’t know about sigils and runes that my advice would be to wait
With the nerfs to Perplexity runes (and there will be more, trust me) and AR, I decided to plan on gearing my roaming WvW engineer to look something like this: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vcAQJAqelUUpkr9ZxdLseNSMSRnHtoH5X/O+jC5yWA-z0BBohBkCEkEBIFtIas12FRjVdDTHjIqOAACwOrzAYoDdoDdoDtdO0ZO0ZOzSBskyK-w
At 33% HP which is like 7kHP you have 50% from AR + 24% from Antitoxin Runes + 36% cheap condi redution food = 110% condi reduction. Although it’s no longer an immunity, so those with +% condition increase will still be able to damage you.
The Leg Mod trait gives you a total reduction of 93% on soft CCs (not counting AR), which lets you take off Rocket Boots to use the vastly more versatile and supportive Elixir Gun which gives you a much needed stun breaker and allows you to have perma regeneration. Your movement is not as hindered as you still have 180ยบ Acid Bomb.
With 1 condi removed from Sigil of Generosity, 2 from Healing Turret, 1 from Super Elixir, 60% base reduction and AR I think this build will be condi resistant enough (something other engy builds only dream about).
It has relatively low condition damage though (due to givers weapons to reach +50% condi duration), but with 5 stacks of might from poison and torment (from runes) and 6 perma from Sigil of Battle that’s like 1500 to 1600 condi damage, not counting guard buffs, just enough to down almost anyone.
