After trying several builds I decided to make me a “lazy” rifle build for PvE. Lazy means no kit swapping or hectic ground targeting. So far I got:
(Grenades are only in there for their toolbelt skill)

But I am having some trouble deciding which firearm traits to take. The build is obviously crit based so both the “on crit” traits and the general rifle traits are viable + Napal Specialist as crits will also give me burn.

Any advice on that or general comments on that build?

Seeing as your build is crit based, i would dive into the tool tree instead of the vitality tree for that extra CRit damage stacking up to 30% if you go all the way into it. I’d go in far enough to atleast get 20% crit and pick up lightning bolts each time you use a toolbelt skill “it hits hard and can crit” and either 10% crit while standing still “if your really lazy” or (swiftness everytime you equip a cit) and use medkit for running back after dieng or just map travel. Hope this helps.

Alchemy is there because I didn’t want to build completely glass cannon and it fits better than Invention.
But I will look into tools.

Main idea for how mine is different is: I removed 10 from firearms, and 10 from alchemy, and put both in explosives so that you could get some proper use for your grenades.

For gear, I would consider going power, toughness and crit%.
It gives you good damage and toughness helps you survive, while the 2000 HP from alchemy means you aren’t going to be only relying on toughness for your mitigation.

You’ll also be doing quite a bit of condition damage, from incendiary powder and from sharpshooter, but also from your blunderbuss and grenades.

I’m not a big fan of using racials, so instead of hidden pistol, I’d use elixir R, which is more useful in my opinion and is a better stun break tool.

nm lyuben i see wut ya did der. Was like “why is he giving him a build that makes use of grenades when he says he doesnt want to use kits or ground targetting”…then realized hes using nades anyway for the toolbelt skill. Feel like if your going for a lazy build and you dont want those things you should swap out the nade for goggles. Pop it have blind immunity 20% crit stun break and a toolbelt on "think its like 20 sec’ cd that adds 10 vuln and shoots em for up to 1500+ damage. Its a good thing for sure.
