Hi, I made a leveling build to try out Engi, looking at bombs then going grenades. I focus on pve mainly solo. I’d love opinions and advice.

Are you looking for a build to level when you’re already level 80 (skill points) or a build to level to level 80?

I did the same as you want. Granades, then Bombs, then Googles for stun break, and when you get Elixir Gun swap for the googles, and have a stun break on toolbelt. Always using zerker (mighty, strong, berserker) gear.

For heals, Elixir H, then Med Kit to clear condis, then Healing Turret, best heal skill IMO.

For the traits, 10 in Tools and get Speed Kits. Best thing to explore the map faster. Use Runes of Pack and/or Centaur for +swiftness%.

Play with all your kits. Engineer has so many fun toys and most of them work more than well enough for leveling. Engineer was, hands down, my favorite class to level. If I got bored playing any particular style, I could equip a different set of kits and change up things.

Honestly what Desert Rose said is the best leveling guide ever. What everyone else said works (really anything “works” in pve though) but that guide is the absolute best setup you can do while leveling an engineer. Again here is the link if youre too lazy to scroll up

Question, why use medkit over the healing elixer?

More healing and Swiftness.

i’m looking for how others are using this

i use this for leveling

the crucial traits are only 2 adepts, 10 firearms for hair trigger and 10 tools for speedy gadgets

dual pistol
on land, FT ,throw mines and rocket boots
on water, grenade, personal batting ram. third is optional as grenade is powerful underwater.

healing could be any but i find elix H to be most useful

the key playstyle requires a lot of dodging and mashing toolbet skills
