Hello. Just a few suggestions from a p/s combo player in tPVP:
General rule of thumb for me is to put atleast 20 in inventions, to trait for reinforced shield. So you are looking at wearing the enemy down, and ogging groups of players who have yet to take a point until your cavalry arrive. Most 1v1s end for me with the enemy retreating.

Knight amulet
Superior battle sigil (as this build is bent on serious damage from might stacking.)
Lay flame field, stack might exploding healing turret (check out enhance preformance X), drop thumper turret, toolbelt thumper turret, with switch to pistol shield #4 and HGH, (assuming you are in battle, and hidden flask procs) that is 21 stacks of might in battle. other sigil ur choice. Like using forge runes with this build.

Shaman and or cleric.
Life & Blood sigils, Water runes.
bomb heals, back pack regenerator. One of the best tanks in game just not very mobile. stun breaker is pretty important in this build, I go with goggles, and elixir gun is pretty essential for you for SG on top of the healing you are already stacked for. Healing turret is good for regen, thats basically all you need. In addition, self regulating defenses + 15 in inventions is a reset for your battle. Traits on the firearms line include hairtrigger and fireforged trigger.
I am suggesting you use any one of the following kits – Flame thrower, elixir gun, or bomb kit. If youdo not want any kit builds (I am assuming what you mean is that you dont use kits) the first of these builds is doable. For the first one, elixir R [stun recover/rez], thumper turret, slick shoes is pretty fun. But you lack true might stacking without using a kit (flame or bomb) for a fire field. I have always come back to kits, because, well, rolling with one kit adds to your combo so much more. GL
