I’m looking for a grenadier/bombkit build that offers a lot of support and can survive pretty well on it’s own.

Is that grenade AND bomb, or grenade OR bomb?

You could run P/S HT/BK/TK/EG with Apothecary/Settler (Shaman) gear as a bunker.
