How great is the new medium armor for engineers? So great. I love the metal on the gloves and the back part of the shoulders gives me high hopes for future hobosack variety.

That’s aetherblade shoulders, gloves and boots and magitech rest.

I feel as though it was always meant for the engineer.

I didn’t like the overall pattern it had on it, but it does still look cool. If I hadn’t bought the Aertherblade armor, I’d probably buy this one.

Was kind of thinking of getting it for my asura thief though…

Awesome, what colors are you using?

Nice! I’m using most of the set, with pirate boots and Noble eye patch (I like it a bit better than the Magitech one.) I’ve also used winter sky for the glowing bits, and iron for the metal.

The rifle is the Spectral Wave Modulator.

Personally I use the Super Hyperbeam Alpha, but there are quite a few tech looking rifles that would suit an eng very well.

Pity this new armour looks trash on Charr, again.

Show us the colours, Stracker! I’m using that rifle as well with a combiunation of Midnight Blue and Silver, but this just blows it out of the water.

It’s a mix of royal blue and antique gold with a bit of midnight ice if I’m not mistaken(antique gold is a
default dye, and it does really well the bronze look) And yeah, I realized it fitted my weapon that much only afterwards, I’m a strange guy…

You’re in luck, it’s not a time-limited item, it’s available foreveeeeer.

Edit : forgot one thing : the lights on the armor are another default dye, “torrent” I think but can’t confirm as I only remember the French name…

Head : Pitch / Regal / Ebony / Spring Dew
Shoudlers : Steel / Regal / Ebony / Spring Dew
Chest : Steel / Regal / Ebony / Spring Dew
Gloves : Midnight Blue / Pitch / Ebony / Spring Dew
Pants : Midnight Blue / Stone / Ebony
Boots : Midnight Blue / Pitch / Ebony

Pitch and lead look real good on the metal parts. I used spitfire and another red that I can’t remember atm. The yellow is harvest gold.

I’ve had to mix that with some Aetherblade armor parts to get him to look actually… armored rather than ‘textured’.

I love this Magitech armour so much that i design a brand new engineer human for the set even thought i all ready had a char engineer, and name him Borg Primary Drone.

I put the shoulders & gloves on my little asura. They look fantastic, but the legs/boots/chest look so good I can’t bring myself to “waste” them on an asura. They get all muddled & squished on asura so I think they might find their way to a human/norn thief or sylvari ranger.

I am rather enjoying the potential for insidiousness in this gear unlike the goofiness of the aetherblade armour.

You can convert in-game gold to gems. So the armor should be somewhere around 25 gold.

I always have to make my armor pink the chest is dredge set but i like it better

This is my charr in magitech. I admit that it doesn’t look as good as it does on humans, but its not that bad..

I love the Magitech armour, it was probably made with us engineers in mind.

It’s really a shame that the female version chestpiece isn’t half as cool as the male one. In their rush to jam in corsetry and a fishnetted chest window, they seem to have removed all the cool glowy ironman-ey bits from the chest armor. The boots, while kinda cool, leave something to be desired next to the far more steampunk-ey male boots. I like the armor, overall it’s one of the best for an engineer, but they really went a bit overboard with the changes between genders.

absolutely loving the armor. as soon as i saw it i had to have it to actually complete the look i wanted lol. all i need now is that jetpack

Dark blue cloth is Midnight Sky, light blue trim/cloth is Shy Blue, metalwork is in White Gold, and glowing parts are in Spitfire. I think it turned out OK

Looks like it will always be there, same thing with the aetherblade stuff. If they ever put it on sale I’ll maybe pick it up, but I’m good with the other stuff I have for now.

I really wish my Engineer could use the Magitech armor. I love the look of it. Unfortunately she’s a Charr, and the armor has no tail slot and bad fit on the shoulders, so that keeps me from wanting to buy it.

If it does turn out to be a limited time thing (I highly doubt this will be the case), the gem store should list it as “only available for such and such time”, with a timer. So you can just keep half an eye on it without worry that it will suddenly disappear from the shop.

Love the magitec armor. First thing that really felt like it was designed for my engineer.

Magitech is one of my favorite sets in the game. What I do to color my armor sets is I sample colors from my FSP.

Thanks for the help guys, i had the cash and saw gem prices weren’t too bad so spent I think 29 gold for the armor and my engi looks awesome! Thanks for the help all(sorry no ss)

Didnt use the chest, for obvious reasons(I’m a Charr. It looks stretched etc.) But still think it looks great!

I debated copping this set for a while but it’s pretty cool lookin…
