Well I guess I did roll this class because it was the most disjointed, clunky and difficult to play class there was. Why not make it a little harder each time.

I more meant either or. Believe me, always using Centaur runes is just gimping yourself, and wasting time/inventory space with another set is just another in a long list of annoyances.

What was the problem with the previous way it worked? It was better than it is now.

The missing line in the patch notes should have not read, “All kits will now behave like the med kit, because it was accidentally a better system.”

And what was so great about it that u cant live w/o? Personally i just always hated that it was the only kit that required me to use weapon swap to get back to main weapon.

It was absolutely one of the reasons I did not roll the medkit. It was an annoying bug and I’m glad it’s fixed. No I can actually use it properly.

Yes u can only difference is now when u stow med kit it will swap to your main weapon just like any other kit.

It’d be nice if they could toss it into the options, make it so that you can set all kits to work that way. XD I much prefer that system! I often forget which kit I’m in, and end up using a weapon skill when I meant to do something else.

Two things wrong with this.

1: we now don’t have an alternative to the formula 409 with food

2: running is going to be a bigger pain now (it was bad enough that an adventurer class has to actually use an ability and trait for faster travel speed but now we have to wait on cooldowns, anyone else see the problem here?)

Just use swap button after Medkit like in SPvP – problem solved. Btw use Speedy kits with Centaur Runes is totaly waste of trait or runes

You just argued for more button presses to do the same thing. I do not understand your viewpoint.

This is actually a “fix” that they put in and then took away again some time ago. Looks like it’s back again (probably for good this time).

For the people that asked why some people like the previous working of the med kit, I am one of them and I can explain.

When I’m in battle, sometimes I forget which kit I’m currently using as I switch between them quite a lot. At some point, I need to use the tool kit’s gear shield so I press 6 and then 4 (tool kit is in skill slot 6). The problem is that if I already had tool kit on, I will now use my magnetic shield and stop my character movement, something that was not intended.

What I would like to happen is that if I preceded my skill use by my tool kit slot’s skill, I should use the tool kit’s skill and not my weapon’s skills. This way, I don’t have to worry about which kit I currently have on. I know it might seem stupid to not know which kit you have on, but sometimes on some complicated fights it just happens. I can’t explain it but every other fight I get an incorrect skill use because of this.

I would actually prefer if all kits behaved this way. Anet?

If this is the best thing you can find to complain about, I’d say either the class is doing pretty well or your priorities are skewed.

Yeah, I liked using it with Speedy Kits. But I also tend to toggle Grenade Kit off and on instead when I’d rather have Healing Turret on my bar, and it’s really not hard :P

It’s called a quality of life issue. It’s not the biggest issue but it did make playing better. I can’t believe people would argue for 2 key presses.

I dont see the issue with it. You just need to equip it and unequip it and SK will be as smooth as before.

Equip MK+MK#5, unequip MK, equip MK when needed for SK.

It will take a bit getting used to for those/us that used only MK for SK, but it will get us used to using SK with other kits aswell if we decide to move away to another heal due to another build.

They fixed it by making it worse. Seriously we’ve all gotten used to this “bug”, to the point where this fix seems like a bug. A horrible, horrible bug.

It’s an issue because PvE engineers have been spamming heal key + 5 since the game launched. Now when we do that all of a sudden we’re using our weapon 5 skill. Also the delay means less efficient swiftness stacking.

I have grenade kit too, but I NEVER use grenade kit to keep swiftness up because it was a pain in the butt compared to med kit.

After getting little to no fixes and huge nerfs last round, do they really want to continue doing things that make people want to play their engineers less? It’s already the least played class. Yes its just an annoyance… an annoyance to remind me I have other classes I can play.

Yes, great fix. I’m glad they spend time fixing this and not something else. This bug was so unpopular and game unbalancing. It clearly needed a priority over the other four dozen bugs.
