Med kit and runes of alutrism
swapping to the kit will grant the might and fury from altruism. not the toolbelt heal.

Even with the F1 being the bulk Medkit heal, for all intents and purposes equipping the kit is the “heal”. It does work though. You can get far better uptime with it, there is no cd with equipping the medkit and you can swap to and fro in about a second.
It’s not really “Might on using a Heal Skill.” It’s more “Might on pressing 6 while your Heal skill is not on cooldown, once per fifteen seconds.”
I will run test again tonight as it was not working even on pressing number 6 for me. I’ll even post a video.
The med kit for me is def not granting the might on using a heal skill
you don’t understand it yet. Runes of altruism work like intended on every profession if they activate their ‘button 6’ heal with the delicate distinction that we have our medkit.
So you activate your medkit and get the might from the runes even without using your toolbelt healing skill. The game doesn’t count a F1-skill as a healing skill.
btw its way better the way it is, than on F1.
It must be bugged for me. Because I totally understand what is being said. Your not understanding what I’m saying.
When I press my number 6 key to activate my med kit the might does not work. But on other heal skills like heal turret and elixir H it works.
just tested it and it worked. all you have to do is swap to or out of med kit in or out of combat. problem’s on your end.

Remember to check if the runes require you to be in combat and remember that there’s a built-in cooldown for the runes.

yes. it only works for the overcharge if you have the turret out and the rune cd is up.

So, if you play smart with your healing turret, do you really gain that many more stacks from med kit than HT considering the internal timer?
if your goal is to stack might and fury every time it’s up, use med kit. if you want a better heal overall, use healing turret.

Correct. Swapping in & out of Med Kit for your Altruism trigger is much more efficient than potentially wasting your heal just to do the same thing.

Pressing ‘6’ to equip or remove medkit does seem to trigger the runes.
However, note that the actual cooldown for the Might and Fury is currently not the 10sec displayed on the runes, its more like 15sec.
If Anet fix the cooldown on these runes so that it is 10sec in practice, then these runes could be quite useful for Engineers who already use Medkit 10 second Might rotation with Enhance Performance Trait and/or Superior Sigil of Battle
