Medkit usage?
It’s quite underwhelming in comparison to other healing skills. Most of the time the best pick is healing turret. In some cases you may decide to pick elixir or healing gyro but medkit currently has no use because everything at the disposal is better.

Well, you are not wrong with the lackluster part, its arguably our most useless kit in the current moment.
Its a kit that trades the capacity of effectively selfheal you, at exchange of healing your allies, but it does an awful job with that, as the aa scales veeery low with healing power, and makes you rely a lot in water fields if you really wanna make a somewhat decent healing (implying you manage to hit your allies of course).
I wouldn’t say the selfhealing is that bad, since Bandage Self is a decent selfheal. It’s not as good as the healing turret, but it’s not too far behind.
Problem is that the rest of the kit is fiddly to use and just doesn’t offer any reward for the effort it takes to use, let alone the time spent in the kit which could be spent doing something that’s actually useful.

Thank for the answers!
I’m just going to quietly ignore it then
With medkit you just heal yourself with F1. The heal is pretty decent so… As for the medkit in itself… well… why bother about unnecessary thought?
There’s really no need to use it for anything other than two options, kit powers occur when switching to kits, it’s a trait that causes kits to create an effect when you switch to the kit. Medkit has a great one for engineers in the healing side.
The only other option would be for the toolbelt skill really. Self heal.
The Streamlined Kits effect is a valid point – magnetic aura is a useful one against projectiles. If you have more than one kit it can get fiddly balancing the shared internal cooldown so that you can get the effect you want, though, so… I guess it comes back to my previous comment about being fiddly to use. :P

I am using Medkit for underwater, to be entirely honest. Turret on land, no question about that, but under water i prefer the Medkit to the Elixir. It’s self heal recharges quicker, and its not that much less healing.

Medkit hasn’t worked underwater already for 2 years! (since they changed the bandages being thrown, instead of dropping at your feet)
Sad it is
