Hey guys, so I dusted off my engineer and decided to try something a tad bit different…

idea behind the build is consistant uptime protection through six abilities. with potent regeneration numbers from backpack regenerator & the 250+ healing power with regen applied. condition removal is decent but not great, with your heal skill, elixer B, 2 throw elixers and elixer gun all removing conditions.

damage is done through flamethrower 4 and the F ability. couldn’t fit toolkit unfortunately but i suppose it could be swapped for elixer gun depending on the situation. HGH provides a ballpark figure of 2k condition damage and power, leaving flamethrower to be a decent power damage weapon with the nice burning bonus.

im not positive if this is a popular build or not but i’ve been enjoying it.

the biggest issue i have is it’s an extremely busy setup, you can’t do damage and survive at the same time, its one or the other. practicing keeping my might stacks up can also be challenging. it’s a really tanky build and i really enjoy it (the new F5 on supply crate is the bomb.com)

other than that can i get some opinions? like? dislike? what would you change? Thanks guys!

I don’t think you should rely on people to stand around in your napalm for burn damage, and incendiary ammo, while nice, is held back by being a 50 second cooldown and single target.
Flamethrower auto is rather weak, and you’ll get eaten up by retaliation using it.
I would highly recommend using a rune set.

sorry forgot to throw runes up there. was sorta rushed. i agree with napalm being unreliable, it can be frustrating. I was using runes of the forge though. I was just looking for an alternative for the standard triple kit build for condi roaming engi frankly. just wanted to mix up the playstyle a little bit.

Hmm rune of the forgeman… I wonder if our elite spec will have to do with being tanky and providing protection while putting out burning…

Some weeks ago I had the same idea. After alot of testing I have great sucess and fun with this:

I tried forgeman but balthasar is just to good. As a condition dealer stealth works great as defense. I know…turret… But with the flame turret you add burning, blind and an extra stealth combo to your build.
