During the past few days, I’ve been hardcore farming glory to reach my next tier.. and everyday I’ve noticed more and more engineers playing to the point where its not uncommon to have 4-5 engi’s on the same map, whats funnier is that i’m currently playing a new build i created which uses FT and some players ask me about the build while others go and make their hole version! and now, every map i join i see clones of me running around! funny how this has turn out but lets keep it up on sPvP!
PS: Personally, I’m more afraid of engi now than to fight mesmers! and im sure most everyone is starting to feel the same way!! are we the new mesmer? lol
One day fellow brother our class will reach the hallowed halls of OMG OP NERF ENGI NOW! in a consistent manner (i know it has happened for 100nades but no one complains about our class in general).
Soon Nerf Clones will become Nerf Turrets, Nerf Stealth will become Nerf RNG and so forth.
Soon we will be able to maintain at least 3 rage threads about the engi in the main forums.
LOL probably! I’ve actually been told twice than im a hacker by rage quitters, and 1 of them said he took a screenshot and sent it to anet, cause apprently i kill too fast
This is both good and bad. Good that engineers are gaining recognition. Bad that now we won’t be as unique :P One reason I rolled Engineer instead of say, Ranger, is that I didn’t want to feel like I was just one out of a million others like me.

Same here. Use to be when I ran across someone in open world it was a warrior, but they faded a way a little to be replaced by guardians. And necros, which faded to be replaced almost completely by mesmers.
Now, I’m constantly competing against other FTs, busting out my EG just to stand out.
We are not the new mesmer. FT is still not worth taking other than allowing for more burst damage with the Number 2 into your DPS dump. Even then tho its not.
You take it because you like attention, like the way it looks, or both. Our reputation hasn’t changed we have always been deadly in decent hands but our class still lacks a firm sense of being a minor buff to FT’ hasn’t change that, if we were to be honest.
We may have more people playing the class now but that is just due to the reputation the 100nades build has got us.

honesly, FT 2 is really strong and #3 makes it worth it(push/relfects) and #5, altho not a big fan of it on PvE, this skill is a good stomp skill for sPvP, also works great to rupt HB warriors! they hate it lol
FT 1 is deff not worth it, and 4 just lacks purpose, just a big “why…”
I tend to see skill 4 as a leftover from when skill 5 was the Pull ability, you could pull and push enemies trough the wall, so used right you could at least make them get hit 3 times (Throwing it at them, then pulling them trough it, and then pushing them into it again) was actually quite fun to do haha ^^
But yeah, I’m seeing a lot more Engineers in WvW as well actually, most of them roaming around with double pistols and a prybar hehe
This upcoming WvW patch is going to unfortunately push players away from unfinished professions such as the Engineer. People are going to be focused on the meta that were actually going to go extinct. Glad that the Engineer in sPvP is fine. Apparently that’s the only place devs look at them.

The meta sucks because engi is not part of it. Enig is best in 1 vs 1, in 5 vs 5 and in zerg vs zerg – but ppl are low and play ele instead.
Like I said, we think the Engineer is viable, but when you compare it to the other professions it has a ways to go. We are going to see not really an enrollment of Engineers, but I can see a lot of people switching to their alt Engineer and testing out turrets.
I would like you Goloith to make a list where you compare the Engineer to other classes in WvW, Solo roaming, Small Havoc Squads and Large Groups, just these 3 points, with the other classes! Because compared to most other classes we are actually quite good and viable in all area’s of WvW!
Edit: You know what, Split Large Groups into Siege Fights and Open Field Fights, just to make a prober covering system! If you don’t feel like doing it I will gladly make you a list, to show you just how viable the Enigneer is in WvW atm (we have never been better atm, but ofc. patch day is today)
