Mortar #1 Projectile Finisher
The projectile have to hit the target before it hits the ground. This is also the case for light and water fields, you only get their effect in a small radius around a target hit by the projectile. Yes, it is stupid.
Edit: Also, we do not know anything about how it is supose to work, just like everything else that changed with the spec patch.
I belive this is actualy a bug, u don’t put a proj. finisher and then making it not working (It doesn’t work on light and water fields at all!); so I guess they’ll fix it with the next patches.

I would agree, if engineer didn’t have a history of weird and unintuitive skills. And even if it is a bug, it wont matter, because we have had bugs for years and have to accept that bugs is a part of the class design.
I was aware of the small radius of Light field finishers, thus the reason of using it in melee range. But the projectile finisher not applying its effect unless it essentially passes through a player…..god that’s awful! Especially considering that unlike other proctiles, this is ground targeted, not some auto track shot. >. <

That skill was meant to be a blast finisher (yes, when traited, a blast finisher), but for reasons they decided to give it Proj. finisher, and making it ground targetting (realy bad combo); so either making it a blast finisher when traited, and nothing when untraited, or simply making it not ground but a real Auto Attack.
I mean, I guess you could aim behind your intended targets, but talk about skill shot…

With the pre-cast and the travel time… more like lucky shot.
Yes, this seemed like an important part of what made engineers viable in zergs. Aoe condition cleanse by using 4 →1 with mortar. But it doesn’t work. At least the chill and poison one seem to work. Please get this projectile finisher, and all projectile finishers not require an enemy target to work, since one like this is for cleansing conditions off ALLIES. Allow us to do something that was intended with the kit.
