So I was messing around with mortar traits and I noticed something. The skill is considered a Turret, yet only one of the traits works for it. The auto tool I can confirm doesn’t work, I’m not sure about the 30% damage reduction, however the Rifled Turret Barrels does increase its range and damage. I wish the other traits could work for it, it would be interesting to see its range with Elite Supplies (it’s bugged for all those who dont know)

It will also be repaired by the toolkit. Healing numbers wont pop up, but its health will go up.

I could only imagine how awesome it would be though if Mortar was automatic like a turret. It’d actually be useful, given it’d probably have horrible accuracy issues, but it’d be interesting to see.

Mortar can come with its very own charr attached to it and just targets whatever you are shooting at. And voilà! Instant decent elite!

That’s a great idea! I would sacrifice the other mortar skills in a heartbeat if it fried skill 1 automatically and skill 5 was the overcharge. I could only imagine how fun it would be to use with deployable turrets.

And they should make that Char Tybalt from the Order of Whispers storyline. That would be epic since he’s an engineer.

The mortar also receives a stealth buff when I used area of stealth/elixer S toolbetl skill. The model didn’t disappear, but the turret had the buff when I clicked on it.
