Guild Wars 2

It’s pretty standard I guess, but I enjoy it so much that I’d like to make a WvW variation of this build. I’m asking cus I want to craft ascended gear, so whats your opinion on this and what would you change? Would you go full celestial or pick a few rabid trinkets instead?

Oh and btw, it’s for roaming and small scale, but I’d also like it to be viable in larger groups.

Usually when taking a PvP build to WvW you need to mix gear stats to compensate for the difference that PvE (WvW) and PvP have. Build looks solid, I’d play with gw2skills.net and see how my stats change in order to optimize it before I put so much work on crafting gear.

I disagree with that. This build would be perfectly fine with a full ascended or exotic celestial set from top to bottom. You only need to mix and match gear if your trying to accomplish specific levels of particular stats. In which case the level of gear mixed, depends of the thresholds of each stat your trying to reach. More often then not though, specifying with a full set of one gear type, and focusing on building to its strengths, is more beneficial. At least in my experiences.

Well, the ascended version of this in WvW would have a slight increase to all stats compared to PvP version. But for WvW you have the freedom to adjust the stats in a particular direction, if you like. I guess my question would be if full celestial is good for this kind of build in WvW or if I need more of some other stat to make it viable (and by that I mean being able to survive and kill stuff).

What I like to do is run Celestrial jewelry. I have been running a Celestrial back piece + rings + amulet.

I keep 3 or 4 different exotic trinkets and exotic armor sets and just swap them out for different builds. (so 4 ascended peices… with the 2 trinkets / armor / weapons changing depending on the build)

I decided I wasn’t going to bother trying to craft ascended gear for my engi. I love to many different builds and I am not crafting 20 sets. (Guess I might craft some weapons soon though) I don’t ever feel like I’m out classed in anyway running that way. That way I can swap out between power / condi / and super tank armour and change the 2 trinkets. I have found it gives me just enough of the little things to be nice to have off the ascended laural am / rings.
