Hey everyone – I’ve scoured the game clean for good-looking gear for my Engineer, and I’ve nearly succeeded in my journey. Two pieces remain, a shield and a gun.

I’ve decided on the “Iron Flintlock” that I have found numerous pictures of throughout the GW2 websites out there. But where is it ingame?

What a coincidence. My engineer friend looted that gun out of a chest in CoF 2 nights ago. It was called Venomstriker. Currently about 3 gold, 70 silver on the trading post.

Are you positive ? :O I checked it on Gw2DB but it shows the default pistol skin – of course it’s not completely reliable. Could you maybe check somehow if you are sure it’s that one?

This is why the trading post needs a preview option.

Yes, I’m sure its Venomstriker. I don’t know of any other reliable way of checking other than going to Lion’s Arch and asking if someone can link it.

GW2DB is very unreliable for checking in game models. Most of the models on GW2DB show the default level 1 skin on everything. Look up any precursor weapon. Dawn, Twilight, The Colossus, etc. It shows every skin as some level 1 weapon when they don’t look like that in game at all.

I saw the Iron Flintlock icon on the trading post under a different name multiple times when I wanted it myself, unfortunately I don’t remember the name.

the “ruinmaker” has the same icon as the “iron flintlock”. i know on fort aspenwood i see that gun ranging from 4g 50s to 5g +. as to whether or not it has the actual “skin” you are looking for is another story.

Guess I was mistaken then. Sorry about that. I know I’ve seen it before some where. I just can’t remember now. This is gonna bother me. >_<

According to one of the sites I use, ‘Iron Flintlock’ and ‘Ruinmaker’ are the only two with that skin. (Well. It also lists ‘Engineer Pistol’, but that sounds more like PvP or placeholder data.)

Is there a rifle with a similar skin?
