Mmm, I always wanted to do this in WvW ZvZ, but we usually don’t have many engineers around. I don’t care if we all died afterwards, having 30+ turrets instantly pop-up on the enemy zerg would just be funny.

The blurry textures, they burn. Are you running GW2 on an integrated GPU or something?

Edit: It makes me think back to 1999 when such graphics were “awesome”

It was a close fight, the turrets had a long well fought struggle against the holographic minions, until the juggernaut decided to bulldoze them all. In the end their bravery just wasn’t enough.

salutes brave turrets

Im using a GTX 560 graphics card, I generally keep the game on lower settings to help with lag that comes from large WvW fights (This is gonna happen no matter what card im using)

Subsampling on a 560 is blasphemy.

I know, I have the same card and won’t be caught dead with textures like those.

Notanewmethod – Asura Engineer (p/p, Toolkit, HGH)
Mask’s WvW Build – 0 | 30 | 10 | 30 | 0 (Soldier/Carrion gear, Rabid trinkets)
B P – Human Thief (d/p – 0 | 10 | 30 | 30 | 0)

Heh, this inspired me to test out turrets for holo farming. Found the flame turret to be the best bang for my buck. Ok cooldown on pickup, damage cone and burn.

Not really sure why ANet put such a long cooldown on the thumper…

Textures really dont look that bad for me, screens always look worse than it actually is in game when i take them. I use custom settings with most effects and shaders turned off (I dont like them anyways) but the textures i keep on high. Regardless of the screenshot quality, its still pretty funny

The turrets with alot of cc have longer cooldowns than the straight up damage ones (rifle and flame turrets)

And not only turrets. Just another incentive to go DPS over anything else in PVE.
