And the problem is that is really hard for me to move while dropping aoe skills in the middle of a pvp fight!
I used an ele for a long time so it should not be that hard, but engi have way more aoe skills.
Can u guys link me to some kitten mouse for gaming?
Or maybe say to me how did u bind ur keyboard keys?

I had a Razer Naga, it was okay but I honestly didn’t need that many buttons. I could get by with 3-4 extra buttons, I didn’t need all 12. If you do, it’s a nice enough mouse. Not my preferred shape, but it’s a nice mouse. My middle mouse button wore out on the Naga after a year or two, which I use for dodging, so that had to be replaced ASAP!
I’m currently using less buttons on a Perixx mouse. I hadn’t heard of this company before purchasing this, I only got it because it was on sale at Newegg, but my goodness this is a great mouse. It feels like its better quality than the Razer I had, more solidly built and fits better in my hand, yet it was 1/4 the price. Came with weights as well, very surprised with the quality of this mouse. Mine has only a couple extra buttons but I believe they sell mice with more buttons to compete with the Naga. I recommend looking into this company to anyone.
As for keyboard bindings I use 1-5 for weapon skills. I use shift+1-5 for heal, utilities, and elite respectively. I use ctrl+1-4 for profession skills. This way my hand never has to stretch at all since I only have to reach the numbers 1-5.
I use a logitech g500s, all the buttons are easy to bind to something else, and you can even use shift or bind a mouse button to shift and have even more buttons. bought it 6 months ago or so, for the previous 8-9 years I only had two mice.. both logitech g5, each lasting 4~ years. I really love having 2 more buttons on the mouse scroll wheel.
beware of some of the cheaper mice, I bought an a4tech mouse while I was waiting for my g500s to arrive and I couldn’t play with it, the buttons conflicted all over the place, if I pressed a button while having another one pressed it would not work, which was a pain for aoe and speaking on ts (also on a mouse button), among other stuff. crappy drivers I suppose.

My mouse only has 2 additional buttons (at the thumb, Logitech G9), but it’s enough for me, I use the following keybinds:
Weapon skills + heal: 1-6
Utility 1: Mouse4
Utility 2: Mouse5
Utility 3: R (usually my sturn breaker/escape skill)
Elite: Shift + Mouse4
Necromancer/Engineer/Elementalist main
Plays every class though :>

Razer Naga has been perfect for me for GW2. I use all 12 of the thumb buttons in combination with the shift key such that my left hand never has to leave WASD. This allows me to maintain full mobility optional at all times while also having access to all my skills.
I kind of hate to recommend buying additional hardware just to use skills effectively in a game, but I’ve definitely not regretted using a mouse like the Naga. There’s usually an adjustment period where you have to get used to playing with it, during which you might play worse than usual, but after that it can work really well.
All depends on your individual style though. Some people I’ve talked to much prefer clicking skills and push the number keys on the keyboard than using something like the Naga. Mind you, none of them were engineers, so… yeah.
EDIT: Razer keyboards on the other hand… stay away. Very, very, very far away. They will only bring you misery.

I was skeptical / intimidated by having a ton of buttons on my mouse. But I really wanted a durable laser mouse. So on a whim i bought the Razer Hex from best buy on clearance. Best purchase I’ve ever made for guild wars. I put all the f keys on 4 buttons so using toolbelt skills is a breeze. The other two i put to look behind and about face. It’s perfect because I have a fat thumb and tend to get pretty crazy with mouse turning, so I can still pinch the mouse with my thumb and just roll it in a direction to hit one of the keys.

Yes that is actually the one I have, MX-2000IIR. I raved about how solidly it’s built and how expensive it feels but I would be remiss if I didn’t also mention how the buttons work great and for the couple months I’ve had it so far it’s worked very well. Keep in mind what kind of mouse grip you prefer, Razer is great for “claw” grip and this Perixx is great for “palm” grip which I prefer.
Sooooooo, apart from a new mouse (which I highly recommend anyways) it can help to rebind some of the skills to ones near your fingers. Z, X, and C, are all good choices. And so are Q, and E.
i use some $10 dynex mouse i got at radio shack with the back felt part of a framed portrait of my ex as a mousepad. i have no issues playing engi. you don’t need to waste money on a gaming mouse or keyboard or mousepad. i have weapon skills bound to 1-5, heal bound to z, utilities bound to q e r and elite bound to f. toolbelt skills are bound to shift q e r f. make sure you check Use Free Camera in your options.
i also want to say that sigil of force is useless if you’re running conditions. use corruption and be sure to keep those stacks up. running melandru runes is great for defense but really, really hurts your offensive capabilities.
I would say it’s more your grip than your hand size.
Palm = Perixx. Claw = Naga.
If you’re hesitant about either fitting in your hand, head to your local Best Buy and feel them. The Perixx might be too obscure to be in Best Buy, but you can probably find measurements online and feel a similar one.
Some of them also come with detachable grips to help fit different hand styles.
I’ve heard some people comment that they have a tough time using some mice since their hands are relatively large, so if that’s your case then it might be tougher to find one that will work well for you. It’s kind of like rock climbing, I guess. Smaller hands tend to be a bit more apt overall.
