I have been playing an engineer for about a week now and wanted to know what the best skills are to break a defiance bar with a condi engineer?

Glue Shot, Big Ol Bomb, Air Blast, Glue Bomb. As to use it very much depends on the situation and how much you need to do, you can land that immob right before the breakbar though to save time, then save the BoB if needed or use it for other stuff if you don’t.

chill eats break bars nicely too in combination with the immob/cripples and is built in to the standard 4 kit build — nade 4 & mortar 3

When you blast poison field (Mortar 2) it gives AoE weakness, which damages break bars as well.
