Hey guys, just wanted to ask for some advice.

I recently got my engineer up to level 80 and got rabid gear with the build: Current Build

But I find a die way too fast in zerg fights(which is where I want to use my engi).
It does lay down some good damage if I just stand back and lob grenades though, but I will always end up dying cause if I do that its just me standing alone and everyone else is with the commander.

So I wanted advice on 2 builds I came up with that I hope will improve my survivability.

HGH/Dire

Elixir Infused Bombs/Apothecary

So which do you guys think is best? Do you think there any changes I should make?

Just btw I am inclined to go Apothecary instead of Dire more because I can’t afford to get Dire right away.

If surv is the problem in zergs, try
30/0/0/30/10
Instead of hgh, use 100perc cond reduction at 25perc, heal while in kit, and vigor trait (nerfed but still decent) Don’t use bombs in a Zerg, positioning is everything.
Go with dire gear. You will do less condition dmg, but can still kill any class and have way more surv.
Another option is to go power nades.
30/0/0/10/30
Cond caps and aeo cond cleanses greatly diminish pure cond classes in zergs.
Also, no matter what spec you choose, you need a def utility. Either rocket boots or elix s. 5 sec stealth from elixir s has saved me. Countless times.

The first one, switch Speedykit for Hair Trigger and thats is what i’m using atm =p. Cleaning Formula 409 is the best thing ever for a HGH build in Rabid, i think u may want some cond duration too in runes instead of full might, in zerg u have guard empower and combos too, sigils are the same i use. But remember —> Rabid is better, but u can change anyway if u just want massive zergs…

This build is strong and hard to play, stack is around 20 might+, no conds, stability, hide, tough, vit, invuln. I prefer p/p for more burn as u just have incendiary powder in this build. In theory i ever hated to play without kits, but after some time, using well dodges and elixir at the “x” moment you’ll see how is amazing how much u can endure and how fast you can kill.

Great counter to conditionmancer too~

Die will happen sometimes in zergs, die in this build and be mad saying this is weak is a player problem, not build, just to remember.
