Hello. Im lvl 20 enginner. Im new to engineer and was wondering id maining grenades is worth i t without grenadier trait? I’ve currently got 10 in tols for the speed boost and putting the next 30 into explosives for grenadier (my plan at least.) And was wondering if i should main grenades or use a different weapon/kit until i get grenadier. Also a question about movement how do throw grenades when your mouse moving sense your mouse goes invisible i find it impossible to hit a moving target?

Edit: Flamethrower is really radical it seems to me at lvl 20 and iv been using it alot more, should i keep using it till higher levels?

Go ahead and use them, you can’t get Grenadier until level 60 at which point I wouldn’t use the grenade kit without it but for now it’s fine. Bombs are pretty good without any trait investment though, they’re really great with just the III trait in explosives. You might want to try that.

It just takes practice to keep track of your mouse. In terms of spamming #1 what I do (and suggest to everyone) is to bind the ‘1’ key to a button on the side of your mouse, if you have the “forward” and “back” browser buttons you can use one of those. This makes spamming much easier while moving around.

Using the grenade kit is also much easier if you go into options and switch to the fast range indicator or whatever it’s called. Flamethrower is good but won’t put out as much damage as bomb kit or grenade kit.

I’d recommend Bombs and Flamethrower until you get Grenadier. Bombs require the least traits to make them useful at lower levels. FT is unique in that it’s still useful as a utility kit without any traits. Aoe blind, knockback, & a long lasting fire field make it handy to bring along even untraited.

As for using grenades effectively while moving…it just takes practice. Remap your #1 to a mouse button for easier autoattacking.

make sure use free camera is checked in your options. that way you can turn the camera as you run forward by holding left click. you can then proceed to unload millions of grenades behind you while running forward.

and you just can’t use grenades if you mouse move.
