Guild Wars 2

I’ve ventured into dungeons with everything from ‘nades to FT/EG support, to rifle/SD. I want to get into fractals but don’t know what to build for to be most effective while learning and (hopefully) not dying.

If I have to I’ll go ‘nades, though they bore me. I’d prefer to go FT/EG but don’t know if that’s a smart idea, mostly cuz I don’t know what to expect.

Also, are there any particular tools that I should look to bring, like reflection Elixir U, or lots of cleanses?

You don’t have to use grenades. The Bomb Kit is safe to use in every fractal. FT/EG is fine.

I generally run with Elixir U as my third utility if there is only one Guard in the group. If there is two or there is a Mesmer specced for walls, take something else. The only skill that never leaves my bar is the Elixir Gun.

ft/eg is fine in any/all fractal scenarios. if that’s what’s fun for you then do it. i’m not a fan of elixir u so i won’t recommend it and you bring tons of condi cleanse with eg. i like rocket boots, elixir s, flame turret, elixir r, or tool kit in the last slot. you could even use elixir c if you are having trouble with condis but i never need it and i don’t think you will either.
