Was really looking forward to the patch and just as other games have done it let me down.
No fixes at all for the Flamethrower (auto attack misses for no reason piss poor dmg, Flame Blast just disappears for no reason etc). Bugs they said they fixed in the notes werent fixed (Elixir S LOL) after all these years I still don’t get how much these people dont know about their own product.

PvP is this game is still a joke and I really wanted it to be good but as usual they have no clue what they are doing…

Yeah I know a lot of people putting game down because of this kitteny patch.

I’m going to stick it out a bit longer.

But when devs show incompetence on this level it is rather demoralising.

You should check out Planetside 2… I’m enjoying it, a lot! Or maybe XCOM: Enemy Unknown, which is also an awesome game. I will wait for the next patch to check if Gw2 is playable again.

On another note….I feel like the OP right now…but I’m not going to give up right away. I going to try a another class if that doesn’t work I will probably be done

I wasn’t hit too hard, so i may as well stick around and have fun with my current engineer build before it gets destroyed.

But if you’re leaving, can i have all your stuff?

Jokes, just shelve the game and come back later when/if things get better.

I don’t pvp either i hate pvp entirely…this patch is definitely NOT what they needed to do for this class to fixit. It’s highly disappointing.

Three things needed to absolutely happen in this patch for engineers:

1: kits scale with gear
2: cond/healing rebuffed to work properly in pve
3: kits give buffs when equipped like the ele created weapons do.

Those three things would have made me think they were going in the right direction with this title..right now I’m not so sure. notably with the addition of the new tier armors…..don’t get me started.

what a let down no kits scale with gear just that would of been fine

People seem to be raving about the new Rift expansion. Maybe we should give that a shot and come back to GW2 later?

In all seriousness, it’s nothing to get your jimmies in a bunch over since you’re not even paying a monthly fee…

I’d just like to say the general attitude and idea of backbiting people for being disappointed about this sub-par patch and expressing it for perfectly valid reasons sets a bad precedent.

It’s bad enough we’re like the red-headed stepchild of GW classes, we don’t need to start turning on each other as well.

I feel for the OP and will be taking a break from the game myself soon as the Lost Shores event is over. I’m certainly not doing so out of some bleak outlook of doom and gloom just more tired waiting around for them to address real issues instead of side stepping around them and fixing issues of no consequence.

Kinda the beauty of a game like this (and GW1). Anytime I stop feeling like I want to play the game anymore I can just take a break and come back without worrying about fees or otherwise just DL the client and I’m back.

Maybe in 6 months I can play the game without feeling punished for not rolling a Thief or Warrior? Time will tell.

All in all I’m here in Tyria until FFXIV: Realm Reborn is launched. Disregarding my unconcern for pvp I am getting sick and tired of the players being sick and tired. Sometimes I wonder if Arena Net even cares about us? They deliberately ignore the most pivotal problems that players point out and take the easy road with negligible fixes.

Yet, then again, no monthly fee gives Arena Net the feeling that they can do as they dam well please!
