Is this intended to work this way? If I add a +precision kit on my rifle, it doesn’t work with nades, flamethrower, etc. Is this the way it is supposed to work, or a bug?

No weapon characteristics, of any kind, work while a kit is active, be it Sigils or base stat bonuses.

And yes, it’s a known issue. Bug or foolishly considered ‘feature’ I don’t believe has been explicitly stated but it’s a point of address from what comments have been made by Arena Net.

However,

if you use one of the sigils that has an"On kill stacking effects" (see wiki for details: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Sigil ) all you have to do is use your main weapon for the kill and the buff will be applied to all you kits.
I currently run rifle / elixir gun / bombs / grenades, for mostly pve and the extra damage i get from Sigil of Bloodlust is definitely worthwhile. I just run around and kill 25 things then return to my normal swapping.

whether you run condition or power the +10 sigils are definitely worth it.

Do not forget that they do not have to be on your equipped weapon either. You can have a rifle in your bag with bloodlust, and one with sigil of air.

Equip the bloodlust one, build 25 stacks and trade it for the air one.

It’s what I do to help boost my dps in PvE.

But remember only one sigil kill buff works at the same time. So doubling up with power / condi or using 2 different power sigils like + 7 and + 10 does not work.

an extra 250 power on grenade kit / ft / bomb kit is massive dps for them. The difference will be very noticeable.
