Hi all,
I’m old to the game, but never put much thought into the game as of late, I have been trying min/max my build I decided I LOVE the Flamethrower kit over any other kit. So I went and spent all my gold into crafting a Berserker gear. I would love to get your advice on this build. As this is the closest to what I have right now.
I chose the FT/Elixir combo as they seem to synergize really well, plus I can buff people around me and cleanse them.

Please let me know your thoughts and advice on how to improve it. (i’m terrible at figuring out which gear to use, Assasin’s, Berserker, Celestial)

FT as main source of dps is bad idea for PvE even after numerous buffs FT is still worst dps kit like 3 times worse. In general pve its doesnt matter too much but you cant take this into dungeon.
You can eventualy have FT as part of rotation for mightstack and flame blast dmg but its very clunky skill.

You can literally run anything in PvE and still succeed! The amount of PvE elitism is just so hilarious when PvE itself is a joke! I’ve run pretty much every build imaginable in Fractals 50, what’s supposed to be the hardest PvE dungeon in the game, and I’ve still beaten it in a decent time!

Anyway I find this build to be my favorite Flamethrower build! Many might and fury for the team!

If you’re on a budget, you can use Runes of the Flame Legion instead of Strength!

Thanks for the information, I’ll give a try to your build. Since I have no group for dungeons and fractals, I stick to events, and I find using a FT to be extremelly fun for the mid range and rifle for approaching/long range.

what the

bombs are really useful as a high dps option for stupid ai that you can chain blind. by the time smoke bomb is gone, if youre wearing zerk or assassin, vets and trash are dead. and they only have to be “close to each other”, not “in your frontal arc” or “in a line”. thats perfect for open world events where groups of enemies spawn and bum rush you from all directions.

as for world bosses, you actually can stand next to a lot of them when you know the mechanics and big huge obvious tells. and if you dont wanna think about that, you can just rifle autoattack anyways from a distant zerg and youll prolly do more dps than 90% of the other people if youre wearing zerk or sin. you dont have to try at world bosses. zergs outscale them, except for teq and wurm and maybe vinewrath if you have a bunch of baddies in your map.

if i sound condescending, i dont really mean to, but it sounds like you maybe tried bombs for 5 seconds, took a dirt nap, and gave up without analyzing your mistake(s). flamethrower can fulfill the same roles as bombs, it has a little lower dps but a little more range and arguably better support and hard cc, and most people think it looks cooler.. so if you prefer it then whatever, but at least give a little thought to your positioning and your enemy’s actions before you pass on bombs.

Easy, that piece of paper is actually your admittance to witness protection Point being correct use of tools and a little creativity goes a long way.

That said, yeah, FT is fine for open world stuff If you stear clear of dungeons you’re golden, it won’t be optimal but it’s a great tool and especially good for tagging and soaking up the loots!
