IM SICK AND TIRED OF MY PARTY TELLING ME IM NOT TANKY ENOUGH. seriously…. everyone in my party ALWAYS expects the engi to be tanky. I usually run rifle power builds with toolkit/grenades depending on the situation, so I’m not familiar WHATSOEVER with any engi tanky builds. I am able to play with p/p condi builds, but i just dont find them as fun. does anyone have any tanky builds that can shut these people up? my main is a guard, i know what tanky is and how its played, just cant find a half decent build of it for engi. im a bit short on money, but i can probably buy runes as well as a full set, without trinkets. if the build is really tanky but doesnt use rifle, FINE BY ME. as long as its tanky and does decent damage

hmm strange, my engi is tanky enough for all the normal explorable dungeons in a ragtag bunkerish build.

FT with rifle and Knight’s gear is pretty good so I’ve heard (check nakoda’s thread).

tanky + dps are too mutually exclusive opposites the more you want of one the less you get of the other.

Also dps + avoid >>> passive defense

You can only pick one, unfortunately.

When I said tanky DPS, I meant the build must be tanky, but also have acceptable DPS. I know very well that you must sacrifice one for the other. im not really talking about fractals specifically, but more like dungeons in general. im not new to the engi class, so theres no need for a sophisticated explanation of a build, just a general idea works.
