PVE flavor of the month
I am using this build for fractals level 20+
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fcMQJAqelIq6ZX3ShF17IxoCfO0jCLY1K6RltsjB;TIAjNmNA
It’s a support build. I use cleric armor and weapons, rune of altruism and a mixture of cleric and soldier trinkets.
My guild loves to have me with them.
Hope this helps
Just invested a ton of gold into that build moex. I really think it’s going to be a good one, esp after they removed waypoint zerging in dungeons. Thanks for the advice.
I’ve used a build like Moex’s in a few dungeon runs (not high fractals). I had some good fun with it, but I felt like I didn’t contribute that much to the run.
I agree that damage would not be that great but the survivability of the team is much better with a build like this. Yesterday I played another build (condition damage) and we had a hard time. Got wiped many times compared to the healer one.
I am not saying that this is the ultimate build and your team members just need to stand there infront of boss and not dodge and you heal them till the boss is down. But to me atleast I feel very useful with keeping the team running.
Yeah. My engineer was originally my main, but I tried a couple of pure damage builds and was disappointed and ended up using condition P/P elixir builds. The utility is great though. I just don’t know about using that healing mist turret. Its annoying that the runes of altruism heal skill proc doesn’t work off all heal skills, just your 6 button. If I use a medkit, I can press 6 as soon as the 10 second internal CD is down to give my group fury and might, but with the turret the CDs are so long. But the regen on the turret being affected by player’s stats now is nice and I honestly don’t know. It will probably be fight dependent on if I use the healing turret or medkit, but those medkit packs heal for me around 1500 which is incredibly nice. I actually went out and bought a full set of exotic weapons and armor (not amulets and trinkets cause I’m poor) just to try this build out again in fractal runs. I’ll stick to my necro for other things.
Was messing around with this last night. Went to Orr, did a bunch of solo farming.
It is definitely slower than my zerker nades build (all ruby trinkets) but my health DID NOT DECREASE. That was so awesome. Seeing as I just can’t justify zerker nades in fotm anymore because other classes just have superior bursts (WARRIOR, I CHOOSE YOU) I think this will be a good alternative. And then I can insta res a downed player which will be really, really useful.
Question, how does the quickness skill on the elixir gun work? It says it grants swiftness to you as well, but I couldn’t get it to work. Is it bugged? Is there some other way to get quickness with this build?

I’ve stuck with the turret because it AOE heals when you time the explosion right. You set it, wait about a second, explode it, and your whole group just got regen + a decent heal. You’re not just letting it sit or picking it back up, are you?

Explode or overcharge the turret? And how do I get swiftness with this build?
Explode.
Figured it out last night. Wish there was some way to SEE the water field. How do I get swiftness?
Rune of the Centaur

There will be a while circle that will pop up for a second after you drop Healing Turret/Regenerating Mist. Detonate your Turret and blast finishers you have in that split second that it appears.
I don’t know if it’s bugged or not but I wish our Water Fields would not disappear within a mere second.
You can also tell when it’s down because the turret head will rotate.
