Reason for the question is the ability to have two on-hit effects, or the like with a pistol / shield combo instead of just one on the rifle.

If you run the former, what effects do you run on your pistol and shield?

Pistol/Shield. Extra blast finisher to stack might with Juggernaut. A block. A stun. A blind. 2 sigils.

You’re going to be in FT most of the time due to Jugg stacking might. So take whichever offers you more utility. Imo, P/S just offers too many good things and 2 sigils.

Pistol/Shield is strong but so is Rifle if you want to be more offensive then defensive. Blunderbus and jumpshot for burst. Netshot and overcharged for control. Scales better with power which is what you should be focused on when using FT. Yes you’ll be spending most of your time in FT for might stacking etc. but swapping over to rifle to lay down your burst or cc your enemy is very useful.

You can’t have two on hit effect sigils working at once. Losing a sigil does suck…wish 2h weapons had room for 2.

to be honest I think if your focusing on FT you want P/S rifle is good, but the survivability from the shield can really save you in a pinch with FT. The extra AoE KB and stun also help a lot as well.

Thing is that FT scales quite well with Power, Rifle lends itself more easily to that (+range, too), and most importantly allows entering or escaping via Jumpshot.
