Please tell me what use swiftness in combat
It’s good when traveling between points. Also taking vigor on swiftness, you can have perma vigor as well which makes you a bit more frustrating to fight. Other than that it’s really just a boost to your survivability, since you’re not made to take hits.
From what little I did with it, perma swiftness actually made bomb kiting harder, though having it available was helpful for escapes.
I don’t know if it’s a bug, but I think it should boost your strafing speed, since strafing is basically running forward with your body turned.
for pve none exactly. I’ve been working on comparing the traits between the engineer, thief, ranger and they could siginificantly improve engineer’s crit crit damage and general damage output by simply changing the traits that give speed bonuses to those that give a permanent on all the time 25% like the abilities enjoyed by the other adventurer classes. There’s alot missing in our trait lines that the other two classes have it’s no wonder why we have such issues with damage.

Basically this. Counter-capturing nodes is important in sPvP, and our profession has several ways to have full-time access to it.
Also Vigor doesn’t sound like a lot at first… until you couple it with Adrenal implant, an Elixer R, and Sigil of Superior Energy. You’ve just suddenly become the hardest to hit profession in the entire game.
Cool. Thanks guys. I thought I must be overlooking some essential technique(s) for the engineer class. I could see how it would help in PvP to travel point-to-point faster and could be used to chase someone down. Now I see that it is also useful as a way to boost your vigor and make you more survivable. But man, it would be cool if it boosted all movement speed.
