With the new gadget change I thought the Rocket Boots would be a game changer so I came up with this.

Any ideas on how to make it better? So far it’s been really fun using it (Rocket Boots!!!)

first thing I noticed: drop backpack generator for self-regulating defense.
Safestomps are a must, and the healing from bpr is almost neglectable, especially since you don’t run a tanky build (and even then it would be arguably worse).

Rune of the speed also makes no sense with streamlined kits…
And scrapper…
Eh, seems like an ood choice for a decap build.
I don’t even know if power is the way to go with rb…

The problem with Self-Regulating Defense is it interferes with AED. I WANT to die with the heal active.

I took Elixir S mainly for the on-demand, non-passive invuln, as well as the stealth.

I thought that Rune of the Speed helped max out mobility even with a swiftness proc, though perhaps Leadership is better?

As for Scrapper, Hammer is so much better than Rifle, the Superspeed/Swiftness regen is amazing considering the build has so many in the first place, and Adaptive Armor helps greatly with sustain in general.

I tried condi but maybe I just play bad with it, IDK… Didn’t have much success. I’ll definitely try your build out though.

My boy Hwaito, so the focus is around de-capping and rocket boots? (gadgets). The better option is to replace slick shoes with personal battering ram/blast gyro. A.E.D. sure it’s a gadget build, but the heal itself isn’t consistent enough with the lack of stab. Healing turret is always stronger. Elixir S will save you from +1’s, and you aren’t camping kits too much to make use of backpack re generator. Slick shoes isn’t as strong as it used to be, and it has no contribution in de-caps. You have 1200 range rocket boots twice to be mobile and decaps, but the question is what happens if you don’t get the decap? You need utilities to knock people off in that scenario or leave the fight. Replacing mortar with Elixir X is also the better option as a “decap” build. Which is why I suggested Personal Battering Ram since it synergies with Gadgets or Blast Gyro b/c it’s a 15 second cooldown and has a stun breaker. If you do decide to go with Blast Gyro, take the gyro trait instead of Adaptive Armor, because it gives stab and gives super speed for Rapid Regeneration. If not, then adaptive is better. Your only source of stab is from evading an attack every 8 seconds. Leadership would be a better option for runes as well. Rocket boots right now with Gadgets trait is so much fun.

Sure, but even in your build, if you take ht, you have 2 waterfields to exploit with your rb’s. Way more reliable and on-demand available heals. And then srd makes way more sense to be taken. Especially since you most likely won’t camp in mortar.
And you can still keep elixir S on your utility-bar. Having both is a pain in the ass for anyone trying to focus you.

Leadership is certainly nice, but how about runes of the pack?
It would be like having elixier B on your toolbar. Less defensive, tho. Then again, srd would offset this minor impediment.

Welp, if you’d ditch scrapper, you could either run firearms to exploit the mobility of rifle 5 better (along way higher crit-chance and dmg), or run explosives as either 2,1, 3 (dodge-dmg) or 2,1,1 to spam orbital strike from a safe distance with rifle AA.
This would allow this build to not only decap, but +1 any groupfight with a buttload of dmg from a safe distance. And since rifle also brings blunderbus, os and actually quite high dmg on jumpshot, your 1v1 capabilities would be comparable the same, if not even better.
Keep in mind, on this build you have the mobility to leave any overwhelming danger behind reliably.
