Power Engi Post-patch
The patch was actually pretty weird for Power Engi. I’m still not quite sure where we stand number-wise, or what traits are the “go-to” now, and i’ll let our qT overlords figure that out, but at a glance, it’s now even more complex to play.

I’ve noticed a significant performance increase in PvP and PvE. Been working with a gadgeteer build and using mines as my go-to control method.
Plus, there’s a hilarious trick now that you can drop two mines where you rifle 4 someone into the back mine, watch them get launched forward into the mine at your feet, and then finally get kicked backwards.
Total waste of the CC, but man it’s funny watching a player come out of that confused as heck.
In PVE, the casual engi play has gone up in performance. The more hardcore engi has gone down, losing peak performance.
Has anyone tried to benchmark power engi? with the nerf to bomb aa, is it wortwhile to dodge with the new powder keg trait? (in theory its a dodge with more damage than bomb aa, and, keeps excessive energy up)
Not quite a QT benchmark, since I didn’t use food. But I’ve done some things.
EDIT: One weakness of my analysis is I didn’t factor in quickness. With permanent quickness, Mine Trail is roughly equal to Shrapnel, maybe slightly weaker.
