seriously why isnt powershoes an adept trait

most professions get a signed of sorts of have a 25% movement speed trait in their adepts
why does engineer have to mess up their build for that passive movement speed

the alternative is speedy kits wich is great but not everyone wants to run around with kits not to mention it becomes anoying spamming kts every 10s for swiftness

Which other professions have a 25% movement speed trait assigned an adept trait?

Warriors – warrior’s sprint
ele – zephyr’s speed and a 25% speed signet
thief- has signet and adept trait Fleet shadows
necromancer-has a signet ,quickening thirst and speed of shadows
ranger- has a signet
mesmer – compounding celerity (cant argue with this one as it only works in combat)

Not sure why you list ranger and no trait. Did I misword something? I could have swore I asked about “adept tier traits” specifically.

So we have 4 of 8 (about to be 9) professions that we know, have 25% speed increase traits at the adept tier?

Elementalist requires a very specific weapons set of dagger/dagger only, for that trait to reach 25%. As well, warriors only functons with specific weapon sets designed for melee. No idea why you listed ranger at all. No one asked about signets, nor did you make the thread about signets, so it is beyond me why you are derailing your own thread.

So we have 2 out of 8 (about to be 9) professions with unconditional traits and 2 more out of 8 (about to be 9) that require very specific weapons sets.

I hardly call 4 out of 8(about to be 9) “most”. Particularly given that 2 of those 4, are conditional to very specific weapons being active in the build.

And then you realize that speedy kits comes with a 10% cd reduction to TB-skills, synergies well with invigorating speed (dodges én mass), while giving you superior access to weapon-swap triggered sigils…

I mean, you were complaining about builds…
Also, our current 25% movement speed is accessible for 4 points into inventions, coming along with high regen uptime and a awesome heal-reset. Also, the only times when kit swapping for me personally becomes annoying is when I run long distances without a clear goal, or with a very strict course, i.e. map exploration.
You know what is awesome for map exploration as well? Explosiv descent, for nothing but your still-free adept slot in inventions. enjoy your easy, lazy build solution for all kinds of movement problems, while still having 10 points to spend into your actual build, that will not suffer from any occupied utility-slot (you know, the one thing that annoyed you about kits → taking them)…

tl;dr
engi features both skillful and lazy-mode movement speed, and both are awesome for their respective situation (!currently!, no idea about post-patch).

This complaint is pointless.

I see your point, but engies have easy-mode perma swiftness as an adept, which is BETTER than what many other classes have.

But the real reason it’s pointless is because it’ll be a moot point in a few months or whenever the specializations drop because Power Shoes won’t even exist anymore in it’s current state. And the new trait with the passive move speed bonus trait will require the full specialization. No more going 2 point into a line just for an adept trait, so it won’t matter anymore. Whether it’s an adept or a grandmaster, you’ll be taking the whole line if you want it. The “tier” will only affect which other traits it competes with.
