Guild Wars 2

This is a general overview of the Engineer and a PvE build I’ve been experimenting with. So far the Engineer appears to be one of those classes that has such a wide range of utilities it can be a challenge to really cover any Good, Better, Best builds.

The Forum communities have been very helpful, although we don’t all seem to agree on any one size fits all line up when it comes to our play style. A good many of us still have questions and concerns that surround our role and how we can all be more effective.

I’m hoping to generate feed back from you guys and I’m receptive to any suggestions you have for up and coming video’s. Understand I’m not a big statistician or number cruncher so a good bit of this is in very general terms.

My only recommendation to you has nothing to do with the engineer, but rather keybinds.

During your fight with the centaurs, I saw you clicking on your grenade skills. This slows you down terribly. You would be MUCH faster using the number keys for your abilites. I know personally for me, 5-0 are hard keys to reach, so I rebind them to easier to reach keys.

I keep 1-3 on my keyboard. I put 4 and 5 on my extra mouse buttons (gaming mouse). I then move the 6-8 keybinds to shift 1-3, and 9 and 0 to shift + extra mouse buttons. I also recommend moving the F1-F4 skills to something easier to reach. I personally use ctrl 1-4.

Without mouse keys, you can use things like shift + q,e,w, etc to make your keys much easier to reach.

It takes some configuration and some getting used to, but once you get it down there’s no looking back

Youre a clicker? Oh my… Goodness. I didn’t think… It was even possible.

You guys are absolutely correct and I’m a clicker. My friends have haggled me for years about being a clicker, ironically I find myself being a clicker more in MMO’s than FPS’s. I’ll give your guys suggestions a try and see how well I adapt.

One of the reasons I’m more of a clicker in MMO’s is because so many of my FPS key settings correlate with 90% of a MMO’s functionality. So I’d have to remap the whole keyboard for things like Map, Inventory, Hero and the like. Fan’s idea may work best and I very much appreciate the direction.
