I have an engineer now and would like to try some tPvP.
So I looked up the decap engi build on Reddit but I must say I don’t understand this build: why does it not contain any towers?
I always see Engineers with towers in tPvP, they bunker a spot and it’s almost impossible to get them down.
Those guys are always surrounded by towers, so why does the Reddit build not use any?

Your link doesn’t work my frand! But if you want to play a decap Engi, all you have to do is have a lot of survivability with many knockbacks to knock the bad guys off the point! It’s possible the build you saw is out of date! Decap Engis before the April 15th patch did not run turrets because of certain overpowered traits and lack of good turret traits!

If you want to run a turret build, I believe the standard is 2/0/6/6/0! I just have to warn you that turret builds are only good in low rated games! Against people who know what they’re doing, you won’t find much success! Turret builds simply have too many weaknesses! If you want to play an Engi that can decap a point and actually contribute to the team, try a build that uses Celestial Amulet and rifle! Here are two variants of the build that Vee Wee uses!

To decap a point, simply use Magnet then position yourself in between the point and the bad guy and use Overcharged Shot! Then head to the point if you’re not on it already! Then use Net Shot! Instant decap! You can even stealth yourself to make it a guaranteed Magnet since it has a very obvious animation! You can decap and at the same time be useful to your team, something turret Engineers simply cannot do!

That is an outdated build! The reason you don’t use it anymore is because of the nerf to Automated Response! It is a useless trait now!
