here’s a tankier version of the standard condi build. i suppose the simplest way to play would be to start in bomb/grenade > use 1-5 > swap to your other kit > use 1-5 > swap to pistol > 1-5 > repeat and hope you kill the bad guys before they kill you.

There’s a bread and butter SD build. The 10 points in explosives are floating; that’s my personal choice. You can also try something else in place of Rifle Turret but imho the toolbelt skill is just too handy in this build.
It’s glass cannon so you’ll take some damage. The idea is to burst your opponent down as fast as possible using your toolbelt skills in quick succession. Preferably following a netshot, which will apply 5 stacks of vulnerability on top of your 10 from Analyze.
Versus most Engineer builds it’s fairly quick to pick up; doesn’t have as big of a learning curve as a three kit build.
I respectfully disagree with the previous builds. Managing 3 sets of weapon skill cooldowns is not easy for a beginner. Grenade Kit, while obviously one of the best things we have, is also not very user friendly. It’s hard for a beginner to move and still target the right places when throwing grenades. Engi glass cannon is pretty tough as well. You’ll be dying a LOT if you’re new to the class in that build.
I suggest a very basic condition HGH build.

You drink elixirs when they’re available. You have condition removal, stealth, stability, boon removal, and all the boons you could want. Once you learn what the elixirs all do exactly you can use them in more specific times.

Thank you! Been practicing with grenades in PvE for now, as I just hit 80 on my engineer and pretty much used flame thrower the entire time. So, I’m getting used to everything else yet.
